The Bakersfield Office of Right at Home is a locally owned and operated franchise office of Right at Home Inc., a senior home care and staffing company providing care since 1995. Our mission is "to improve the quality of life for those we serve". We do that by providing high quality in-home caregivers to serve you.
This office is owned by Independence at Home, Inc., founded by David and Terri Mazone, and was established to assist people in our communities with the challenging issues facing their families and friends.
David and Terri have lived in Kern County since 1989 and are members of Kern Christian Center. They have three children, Clinton, Dustin, and Hayden - all boys; all homeschooled! Over the course of three decades, David and Terri have prepared for an opportunity such as this - to add value to the lives of others and help seniors remain in their homes. It’s about empowerment and remaining independent – “Maintaining Independence is an Option”sm at Right at Home.
David and Terri so strongly believe in maintaining independence that David’s an active volunteer as an “Ombie” (Ombudsman) with the Kern County Long Term Care Ombudsman Program; and as a Director and member of the Kern Senior Network – a collaboration of individuals, companies, organizations and public agencies that Support, Educate and Advocate for seniors and their families in the Kern County communities.
Our field staff, of Caregivers and Personal Care Assistants, has all been equally selected with great care. Our extensive screening process includes thorough background checks; including nationwide criminal records check, DMV records, abuse registries, assessments, reference checks and in-depth personal interviews. We additionally are bonded, certified, licensed, and insured for your protection.
