Who We Are
Right at Home of the North Shore, Merrimack Valley, and Wakefield Melrose Area was started by Rosaleen Doherty and Jay Kenney in 2002. They started their agency out of a desire to serve their local community and enjoying a work life that really meant something in people's lives. They saw that families wanted to stay together and seniors wanted to stay in their homes, but might have medical conditions that made it difficult. Rosaleen and Jay knew that with a little help, most of these people could lead healthy, happy lives in their own homes. Being longtime Marblehead residents, they opened their first office on the North Shore. In 2006, they saw a need to bring professional home care services to the Merrimack Valley and in 2010, they aquired Right at Home in Wakefield Melrose area.
Rosaleen and Jay pride themselves in being responsive, professional and trustworthy. All care is overseen by a clinical staff that insures that home health aides are performing their duties. They use TELEPHONY telephone timecarding system to insure that caregivers arrive on time. Even if a caregiver did not arrive in the middle of the night, the TELEPHONY timecarding system electronically alerts Right at Home supervisors so that they can proactively work with the client and their family. Right at Home is one of the only agencies in the North of Boston area that uses a system to ensure that they are always there.
Being part of our local community, is one of the the aspects of home health that attracted Rosaleen and Jay to start their agency. Rosaleen is a Past President of North Shore Women in Business and is President Elect of the Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor. Right at Home is a member of the Home Care Alliance, the Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce, the Haverhill Breakfast Exchange, and the North Shore and Merrimack Valley Alzheimer's Partnerships. Jay and Rosaleen continue to reside in Marblehead with their two children, and dog Zoey.
Right at Home goes the extra step with their clients to provide quality caregivers, which is rare in the environment today. They provide a personal, hands-on relationship with each and every person they care for - starting from the first day working with the client - when they personally visit their home.
