 Right at Home, Central Houston is a locally owned and operated home-care company providing in-home living and companion services. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. We do this by providing high quality caregivers to serve you.

Our caregivers are carefully screened, trained, insured, bonded and supervised to ensure we provide our clients the highest quality care and service possible.  We are also licensed by the Department of Aging and Disability Services to provide personal care.   Our goal is to help create a safe and secure atmosphere that focuses on maintaining the client's dignity and independence. This is done by providing assistance for a variety of life's daily activities including:

  • Light housekeeping
  • Medication reminders
  • Meal preparation
  • Laundry
  • Errands, shopping and transportation
  • Assistance with dressing/undressing
  • Assistance with Bathing/Showering/Walking

Right At Home, Central Houston, is locally owned and operated by Kristen Carlson (pictured right).   Kristen's first Right at Home office was opened in Galveston in 2007 and she opened the Houston office in 2009.  Previously, Kristen worked for over twelve years in medical management (8 years at the University of Texas Medical Branch and 5 years at the Center of Reproductive Medicine). She previously worked as a Financial Analyst at First Boston Corp in New York City in the 80s.  Kristen has a bachelor's degree in Sociology and an MBA from University of Houston Clear Lake.

Kristen received her accredidation as a "Certified Senior Advisor" from the Society of Certified Senior Advisors in 2010.   Kristen’s aunt, Estelle Greenwalt, was a great source of inspiration for opening the Right at Home office.    Estelle was able to live happily at home until her death at the age of 91.   Being able to provide safe, exceptional service to enable others like Estelle to stay 'right at home' as they grow older is what Right atome is all about.

 

Kathryn McClure (pictured left) has worked for Right at Home since  2009.  She received her Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration from Austin College in Sherman, TX  in 2007.  Kathryn as Operations Manager,  "runs the Houston office" recruiting, hiring and supervising caregivers, as well as scheduling and client coordination.  

 

 

Welcome, Shelly Benoit Crosby!  Shelly  joined Right at Home in May 2011.  Shelly works part-time doing Business Development for the Houston office and the other 'half' running our Lake Jackson Satellite Office.  Shelly  has over ten years experience in the senior care industry, most recently working for Oceanview Transitional Care Center in Texas City.  Shelly shares the commitment to our patients and other customers in providing the BEST in care.

Other agencies cannot compare to Right at Home's service. When I use Right at Home to place a caregiver into someone's home, I know they not only come to do their job, they also build relationships. Their intake process is in-depth in order to help place staff that will fit the patients' needs. I think this is the cornerstone of so many happy patients. They have a genuine interest and passion for the elderly.
