This interactive seminar will provide an overview of normal aging, including physical and psychological changes. The program will also highlight how sociological factors impact the aging process for all people. Normal aging vs. dementia will be examined along with causes, treatments and diagnostic procedures for dementia. Best practices for communication and sensitivity to age-related changes and dispelling myths and stereotypes will also be addressed.
