The debate rages on as to where best to pay for care for the elderly and people with disabilities who want to stay in their homes but can't afford to pay privately. Funds have been available for home care through Medicaid but they are drying up quickly.

The North Carolina Attorney General’s office responds to 20,000 consumer complaints per year. The complaints are from citizens that believe they have been the victim of frauds, scams and unfair business practices. Many of these are seniors as they are seen as easy targets.
