Right At Home, Greater Galveston area is locally owned and operated by Kristen Carlson (pictured left).  Prior to opening the Galveston RAH office, Kristen worked for over twelve years in medical management (8 years at the University of Texas Medical Branch and 5 years at the Center of Reproductive Medicine). Prior to moving to Galveston, she worked as a Financial Analyst at First Boston Corp in New York City.  Kristen has a bachelor's degree in Sociology and an MBA from University of Houston Clear Lake.

Kristen and her two children have lived in Galveston since 1993.  Kristen is actively involved in the Galveston Rotary club and was named Most Valuable Member in June 2009 and served on the  Board of Directors from 2009-2012.  Kristen received her accredidation as a "Certified Senior Advisor" from the Society of Certified Senior Advisors in 2010.   Kristen’s aunt, Estelle Greenwalt, was a great source of inspiration for opening the Right at Home office in Galveston.  Estelle, a lifelong Galveston resident, was able to live happily at home until her death at the age of 91.   Being able to provide safe, exceptional service to enable others like Estelle to stay 'right at home' as they grow older is what RAH Galveston is all about.

Sydney Greenwalt serves as Human Resource Manager for both Galveston and Lake Jackson.  Sydney holds an Interior Design degree from the Art Institute of Houston.  Sydney's background includes Community Relations, Administration and Design positions.  She is developing an Aging In Place consultation service as part of Right at Home's service line.

Right at Home: improving the quality of life for those we serve.

Cannot say enough wonderful things about Right at Home. Right at Home was originally hired just to help with medications for my 83 year old father as he was alone in his home in Massachusetts while his four daughters live in Florida. As anyone that has an elderly loved one that lives out of state knows..it's hard to worry from afar. It was a great relief to know that Right at Home was checking on him and keeping in touch with us in Florida. The nurse was trustworthy, caring, kind and just fantastic in every way. Right at Home spent much time on the phone with us to help choose and get him into a rehab facility after he was sick last year, which I always felt was above and beyond. Just recently I was up in Massachusetts with my father because he had developed an infection. My dad refused to go to the hospital and the nurse from Right at Home stayed with us for an extra 4 hours or so until we could finally get the help my father desperately needed at the hospital. Again above and beyond. The Right at Home nurse was like an angel during this stressful time. Five stars is not enough to rate how much Right at Home helped us with our dad.
