Meet the Staff - Galveston

Right at Home, Greater Galveston area is a locally owned and operated business providing in-home living and companion services. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. We do this by providing high quality caregivers to serve you.

Right At Home, Greater Galveston area is locally owned and operated by Kristen Carlson (pictured left).  Prior to opening the Galveston RAH office, Kristen worked for over twelve years in medical management (8 years at the University of Texas Medical Branch and 5 years at the Center of Reproductive Medicine). Prior to moving to Galveston, she worked as a Financial Analyst at First Boston Corp in New York City.  Kristen has a bachelor's degree in Sociology and an MBA from University of Houston Clear Lake.

Kristen and her two children have lived in Galveston since 1993.  Kristen is actively involved in the Galveston Rotary club and was named Most Valuable Member in June 2009 and served on the  Board of Directors from 2009-2012.  She currently serves as Treasurer for Hospice Care Team, Galveston County's only non-profit hospice.   Kristen received her accredidation as a "Certified Senior Advisor" from the Society of Certified Senior Advisors in 2010.   Kristen’s aunt, Estelle Greenwalt, was a great source of inspiration for opening the Right at Home office in Galveston.  Estelle, a lifelong Galveston resident, was able to live happily at home until her death at the age of 91.   Being able to provide safe, exceptional service to enable others like Estelle to stay 'right at home' as they grow older is what RAH Galveston is all about.

Right at Home: Improving the quality of life for those we serve.

Right at Home has provided a continuous level of superior, professional companionship service to our 82-year-old mother who is afflicted with several Alzheimers-related medical issues. Through 24/7 supervision, Right at Home thoughtfully selected and assembled a qualified team of caring companions and nurses who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment and compassion, often in a challenging environment. Tasked with several responsibilities ranging from grocery shopping, to light house keeping, medical appointments, and personal assistance, Right at Home's caregivers have dramatically improved our Mother's overall socialization, disposition and well-being.
