Gilbert Entrepreneur Provides Aging Population with Care Right at Home Right at Home Offers Affordable Senior Care Alternative

Gilbert, AZ – As the first baby boomers reach retirement age, they are faced with a dilemma that no other generation has been faced with before: how to care for their aging parents while trying to balance the responsibilities of their own busy lives.  With the number of seniors in America expected to double to 70 million in the near future, the chances of the baby boomer population caring for an aging loved one is becoming more likely.  

Local entrepreneur Sherri Taylor, owner of the Gilbert Right at Home franchise serving Mesa, Gilbert, Queen Creek and Higley, is helping to alleviate this problem throughout the area.  The concept offers in-home supportive care and assistance to seniors and other adults to help them continue to live independently.

For as little as a few hours per week to as many as 24-hours a day, Right at Home offers a variety of highly personalized and flexible home care services provided by trained caregivers at reasonable rates.  Services offered include light housework, meal preparation, medication reminders, personal hygiene, bathing, walking, local transportation, companionship and more.

“There is a tremendous need for Right at Home in our region because of the great number of seniors in this area,” Taylor said.  “Many of our clients have lived in their homes their entire married lives or recently moved for the warmer weather. In-home care allows them to age in place in their own homes.”

Working as a registered nurse for more than 15 years, Taylor saw a great demand for caregiving services in the area. It was her desire to help people in a new setting and become her own boss that led her to open a Right at Home franchise in Gilbert.  

“I was seeking a new professional career that fit with my nursing background and that allowed for me to take control of my own destiny,” added Taylor. “After much research, Right at Home was the obvious choice. It gives me a great feeling to know that I own a business that allows for me to help others in the community.”
