Testimonials

  • I wanted to thank Right at Home for helping take care of my grandmother after she fell and broke her toe.  She had a care taker named Myrial who was absolutely wonderful and took great care of my grandmother during a time where she could not care for herself.

Myrial was attentive, caring, personable and professional. Everything you could ever ask for when needing someone to take care of one of your loved ones.

If we ever need any care taker services in the future, we will not hesitate to contact Right at Home!  Thank you!

    Dear Cathy,

I want to thank you and your staff for providing my mother wonderful in-home care for the last few months of her life. I was very important for mother to stay in her own home. The assistance your staff provided allowed her to live independently with dignity. She was able to have assistance with keeping her home tidy, her meals prepared and occasional person assistance.

As the CEO of Hospice of Huntington, I have high standards for in-home care. I found that the people who you sent to assist mother to be consistently respectful and attentive to my mother’s needs and concerns. I was particularly impressed with your initial interview and follow up to make sure that the personnel you sent to my mother’s home would be a good match for my mother’s personality and needs.

I think your services are filling a much needed gap in health care and I would recommend your services to others without hesitation.

     Sincerely, Charlene Farrell

Dear Cathy, I would like to take this opportunity to express our deep appreciation for the excellent care given by you and your staff for my aunt while she was so ill.  I could not have been able to keep her a home as she wanted if it were not for your help with her personal care, her contact with her physician, and her end of life care.  My father who is 85  took care of her for almost 12 years and your staff was so considerate of his needs and feelings concerning her care, not to mention how carefully they kept an eye on him as well.  I have told everyone I know who have a need for your services how excellent your staff was with my aunt and I have also made the referral staff here at St. Mary's hospital aware of your company and services.  If there is ever anything that I can do for you, please do not hesistate to call me.   I will always remember the caring and compassionate care that you and your staff brought into our lives.  May God bless you, your company, and all your staff for your loving devotion to the people who need you so much.  Sincerely

  • My first client was 89-years-old, and I ended up staying with her 24/7 until she passed away at the age of 92. I used to read the Bible to her, and we sang songs together because she used to be a choir director at her church. She wanted me to sing her favorite song – 'The Old Rugged Cross' – at her funeral. I did. I was with her when she took her last breath. It was such a sacred moment. I’ll never forget it. It just cemented this whole career for me and made me realize this was what I wanted to do.

  • I feel better about myself knowing that the care that I give may help someone live a happier life. My greatest reward is in knowing that my presence makes a difference.

  • It is an honor every day to serve others in their homes and provide them with the type of care that they deserve. Receiving the RightCare Award was another honor. It wouldn't have been possible if not for my clients. I always think of them first. I do my job because I love to do it and not because I expect to receive any gifts or an award. To me the award is just as special as receiving a smiley face from a client, showing their appreciation.

  • I was immediately impressed by the warm and friendly atmosphere of the office and by the owner, who was very up-front and real. I felt very at home with her and very at ease. [The caregivers] are not just employees. We are family and a team. We look out for one another, and we look out for the owner as well. She is supportive of our situations and is always there to encourage us to grow in our experience and knowledge.
