I was so relieved when Right at Home was able to meet with me without delay and provided the service he needed right away. They kept diaries of everything that occurred during each day so I had the comfort in knowing that dad was being taken care of and I could get the relief I needed to take care of so many other details. It was very helpful that when I came to visit my father, I could focus on him.
I chose Right at Home because I was looking for quality in the type of care my father received. I was using another service and they didn’t provide the oversight or the level of concern of my father’s condition that Right at Home provided. The rates for both services were comparable, but the value of the care dad received from Right at Home was much greater. Even the friends who visited my father were impressed with the high quality of care dad received.
They did an excellent job of coordinating with the assisted living facility and hospice staff and nurses to keep him in his apartment, which was a much warmer environment for family and friends to visit him. When my brothers flew in from out of state, they were comfortable staying with him all day, which wouldn’t have been the same in a nursing home.
One of the benefits I received with the caregivers was their concern for my father’s interests. They knew what books he enjoyed, what television stations he enjoyed, what he liked to eat, and many other personal details that often get overlooked. This gave me so much peace because I didn’t have to worry about the little things. I felt that they became part of the family and was very grateful that they were available when I needed them. I would not hesitate to contact them again, if I ever needed assistance and recommend them wholeheartedly.
