Welcome to Right at Home - Mt Diablo

     Jim and Joyce Newport, owners of Right at Home of Mt. Diablo, take pride in providing the leadership necessary to forge collaborative partnerships between our clients, their families, and the health care community.  By spinning a web of care, Right at Home becomes an extension of the family, provides a single point of contact to those responsible for the welfare of the client, and shoulders the burden of day-to-day care, improving quality of time spent with loved ones.

Personally touched with the challenges of caring for a loved one while managing our own careers and household, Jim and Joyce know firsthand about the desire to take care of everything ourselves, and the nagging uncertainty about bringing a “stranger” into your loved one’s home. 

To ensure that our office meets the highest standards in the California home care industry, we are proud to be one of only a few CAHSAH-certified Home Care Aide Agencies in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties.   We are also active members of the National and Northern California Chapters of the National Private Duty Association.

How else is Right at Home in Walnut Creek different from other agencies?

  1. We have no service minimums
  2. We can start services on evenings and weekends
  3. All home assessments are conducted by a Certified Senior Advisor
  4. Employees are our supervised W-2 employees - not contractors
  5. We are on call 24/7.  When you call Right at Home, you will speak with one of us – never an answering service.  If you reach our message, it means that we are on another call and will return your call just as quickly as possible
  6. We work with you to develop a personalized plan of care
  7. We review the plan of care with our caregiver prior to start of service
  8. Our RightCare Client Care Coordinator arrives along with the caregiver at the beginning of service
  9. We ensure continuing quality of service through periodic unscheduled supervisorial home visits by a Certified Senior Advisor
  10. We thank our clients and caregivers for feedback to allows us to further develop and enhance our services
  11. Our ultimate hiring criteria is: "would I give the house keys to this person to take care of my own mom?"
