• I have used Right at Home for over 5 years. I work full time, have a family, and am the primary Caregiver to my Father, who has been widowed for 16 year. I began using Right at Home for in home care for my Father, who needed assistance with mobility due to partial paralysis on his left side. At first we needed someone to help him do errand, laundry, take him to the library and shopping.

   

  When my Father began showing signs of dementia, he needed more assistance with daily activity and medical conditions that began to appear. When he could no longer stay in his home and moved into the memory impaired unit of an Assisted Living Community, we continued to use Right at Home to supplement his care 12 hours a day. During the past three year, my Father has had numerous hospital stays and extended periods at Skilled Nursing Facilities. The Caregivers from Right at Home have followed him wherever he has been, always providing the same high quality service.

   

  John and Juanita Major have always taken a personal interest in my Father (and my own well-being!) and I have always found the entire staff of Right at Home to be professional and responsive to our needs. Any change in the Caregiver schedule or any concerns/observations about my Father are communicated promptly to me. If a problem arises, someone is available 24/7 to resolve any issue. All of the Caregivers chosen to help my Father by the staff of Right at Home have exceeded expectations. I have found them to be dependable, trustworthy, caring, and friendly individuals who have greatly added to the quality of my Father’s life.

   

  The reality of life does not allow me to be with my Father as much as I wish I could, but knowing that I have the staff of Right at Home helping and supporting me to provide care and companionship to my Father gives me the peace of mind the he is being cared for as if a family member were with him. I do not think I would be able to handle this stage of life without the services of Right at Home.

• Deciding I could no longer take care of my very sick husband by myself was the hard part. By contacting Right at Home I found the help that I needed. A knowledgeable and empathetic representative came to the house and helped me sort through my options.

   

  We came up with a plan for health care support several days a week. As our situation changed, so did the caregiving. Right at Home is “on the spot” flexible to fit in with changing conditions.

  The owners, John and Juanita Major, the office personnel, and the aides are special people committed to providing the best care when a family chooses to deal in the home setting. I was supported both physically and emotionally by these caring individuals.

   

  I unquestionably recommend this top quality Chatham organization for the support needed when those of us go through that particular stage of caregiving for loved ones.
