Caregiver's Recognized through CARE Award
Right At Home, Northwest Homecare & Staffing Services, serving King and South Snohomish Counties recognizes caregiver excellence through its CARE award.
The CARE award is a monthly and annual award given to a agency caregiver who best demonstrates the qualities outlined in our CARE Creed.
The CARE creed represents important success factors in our ability to provide outstanding care and support to our clients and their loved ones.
CARE stands for CONNECT, ASSESS, REPORT, and EXECUTE:
C – Connect – The caregiver demonstrates that they are able to connect with their client. They are able to show compassion and interest in their life and engage them in the moment in the activities that important to them. They create a relationship where the client is excited to have them back on a routine basis.
A – Assess - The caregiver demonstrates and ability to assess their client’s needs and observe changes in condition. They communicate these changes with the office so Right At Home can be proactive in managing the client’s changing needs and better coordinate care.
R – Report – The caregiver reports to the office the care they are providing to their client in a timely basis. As we teach to all of our care professionals– providing care is only part of their responsibility. Effective caregiving includes taking notes, noting changes in conditions and communicating with offices staff.
These include but are not limited to turning in weekly logs and filing incident reports. The goal is to work collaboratively so we can make sure clients care needs are met.
E – Execution of care plan – Follow care plan and report to office when asked to provide services not in contract. Reviewing the care plan and focusing on goals helps maintain clarity and mark progress against plan.
