Our South Shore Office

 

Libet and Frank Callahan are the local owner/operators of the South Shore office of Right at Home. Libet Callahan, BSN, RN, is a graduate of Columbia University School of Nursing and completed her training at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. Libet is well known in healthcare circles on the South Shore for her many years of  clinical nursing services with the local VNA and Hospice organizations prior to opening Right at Home. She brings her years of experience and compassion to our office and to clients in our care. Frank Callahan is a former corporate executive in the hi-technology and financial services industries and oversees the daily business management of the office. Their combined talents ensure exceptional homecare services and compassionate care for seniors and their families throughout the South Shore.

The Right at Home tag-line is “Improving the quality of life for those we serve” and the Right at Home care team is committed to fulfilling that statement. We start by hiring only the best caregivers available. Libet sets high standards for caregivers and only 40% of the applicants that apply are hired. Each caregiver is given a rigorous background check, a minimum of two professional references are contacted, and because our caregivers often drive clients to appointments, we obtain a report from the MA DMV regarding the caregiver’s driving record to ensure that he/she is a safe driver.  If all these information requests come back positive, the caregiver is then placed in a comprehensive training program and then must pass a competency test before they are placed in a client’s home. Our team of nurses then tightly supervises our caregivers to ensure they are following the specific care plan that has been designed  for each client by the nurse case manager. Finally, to ensure protection and peace of mind for our client’s and their families, all caregivers are fully bonded and insured.
