Caregiver Feedback

At Right at Home, we truly understand the importance of the feelings and opinions of our caregivers. It is our HR philosophy to evaluate, motivate, and appreciate our caregivers. To accomplish these goals at Right at Home of St. Louis, we use a process called Rounding that was initiated by a former caregiver and now-member of our HR staff.

After 30 days of working at Right at Home, caregivers meet with our HR staff one-on-one to discuss their opinions. We ask caregivers a variety of questions, including if they have any personal safety concerns, ideas to share about a client, or believe that there are any tools or equipment that they lack to successfully care for their client. Questions like these not only help us understand the feelings of our caregivers but also help us find ways to improve our organization.

We also ask caregivers to reflect on their greatest accomplishments since joining Right at Home and if there are any teammates that they would like to acknowledge so that we can better show our appreciation for our caregivers for all of the work that they do.

We encourage caregivers to offer their insights and opinions so that we can motivate them and they can in turn inspire us to improve Right at Home. Without our dedicated caregivers, none of our work would be possible, and we promise to never forget that.

Caregiver Testimonials

  • I wanted to thank Right at Home for helping take care of my grandmother after she fell and broke her toe.  She had a care taker named Myrial who was absolutely wonderful and took great care of my grandmother during a time where she could not care for herself.

Myrial was attentive, caring, personable and professional. Everything you could ever ask for when needing someone to take care of one of your loved ones.

If we ever need any care taker services in the future, we will not hesitate to contact Right at Home!  Thank you!

  • Thank you so much for all you do.  In the past several years, I have used a variety of agencies and private care people.  It was not until I starting using Right at Home, that I clearly had peace of mind in leaving Mom in someone else's care.  Thank you for that.

  • Right at Home's service couldn't be any better. They know what is needed and do it efficiently. Their performance is excellent, and they cover everything they do. The Right at Home care giving team does not just sit around - they look for things to do, and are quite smart. The caregivers are great companions, and I would gladly recommend Right at Home to a friend.

  • Your Right at Home caregiver was wonderful. She was so helpful - and after working with many agencies - was the best caregiver from any agency that we had in the past year!

  • From the get-go, Right at Home was welcoming, helpful, and immediately responsive to my Father's care. We instantly responded to their friendly and service-oriented approach and felt that we could work with them. They also seem to hold the bar pretty high for the caregivers working with them, and their high standards and extensive selection process reassured and impressed us.

  • My family and I were quite pleased with Right at Home's efforts. They provided first class service, and provided a healthcare provider who really knew what she was doing. It is not necessarily easy to transport a person who is not feeling well across the entire United States, and Right at Home did a great job in providing this service. Our experience with Right at Home was just perfect.

  • Right at Home's staff were very professional, understanding, and helpful with my family; they were willing to go the extra step and to be contacted at all hours. I was amazed how quickly Right at Home was able to get a caregiver in my Grandparents' home and help them immediately. They went through the process of finding a quality caregiver that specifically fit my Grandparents' personality and needs. It was a pretty efficient process all around.

  • Right at Home goes the extra step with their clients to provide quality caregivers, which is rare in the environment today. They provide a personal, hands-on relationship with each and every person they care for - starting from the first day working with the client - when they personally visit their home.

  • “All we can say is Thank You!  Your caregivers were “angels of mercy” and cared for my mom with such love and dignity.  And not only for mom for also for my dad.  She seemed to know what we needed and went the extra mile all the time.  We are so grateful for the service you gave us.  May God Bless you all.”

    Jill Q.
  • “I wanted to let you know how much we appreciate Jan and the care she gives my Dad.  My dad is not in good health, his condition is worsening and he can be very crabby because he is in pain much of the time.  Your caregivers have been there from the very beginning, giving not only great support to my dad, but to my family as well.  They have a unique way of lifting his spirits and snapping him out of a grumpy streak!  It is so important to us that we have patient and kind caregivers for my dad when we cannot be there.  As we start Hospice care for dad, I feel more at ease knowing you will continue to be an integral part of his care.”

  • Thank- you card to a caregiver:  “I will never forget the difficult times we spent together when my husband was dying.  You were a solid rock in this time of trouble and really made it possible for me to come through the experience with a feeling of hope and peace.  I know you gave Paul these same gifts and I thank you for that more than you can know.”

  • “Thank you so much for the exceptional care my mother received with Right at Home.  All the girls were wonderful and I highly recommend your services to my friends who are facing the same issues that I did with my mother.  I couldn’t have done it without you!”

  • "I wanted to thank you for providing a wonderful service for our family. My father wouldn't have been able to stay at home as long as he did without it. Everyone associated with your operation has been courteous, professional, and caring."

  • "Dear Barb: As a licensed clinical social worker for over 20 years, I have had the pleasure to collaborate with many wonderful professionals, companies, and organizations. I must admit that my expectation for the care of my clients is very high. I am writing today to tell you that my experiences with your company in the past few weeks have exceeded my high expectations!"

  • "Dear Barb, I am writing this letter to express my gratitude to you, your company, and most of all, to Glenda and Belinda for taking such great care of my parents. On the evening we first met and you spoke with my husband, my parents, and me in my mother's hospital room, I had such an overwhelming feeling that we found a "just right" fit for our family's needs with you and Right at Home. My gut feeling that evening has proved to be so true"

  • All I can say is "Thank You." We were all so tired by the time we realized we needed help. You and your caregivers were like the calvalry. You came in and took right over in a sure and competent way. We were all finally able to get some rest knowing that Dad was in such good hands. Next time we need help we'll know just who to call.

  • My first client was 89-years-old, and I ended up staying with her 24/7 until she passed away at the age of 92. I used to read the Bible to her, and we sang songs together because she used to be a choir director at her church. She wanted me to sing her favorite song – 'The Old Rugged Cross' – at her funeral. I did. I was with her when she took her last breath. It was such a sacred moment. I’ll never forget it. It just cemented this whole career for me and made me realize this was what I wanted to do.

  • I feel better about myself knowing that the care that I give may help someone live a happier life. My greatest reward is in knowing that my presence makes a difference.

  • It is an honor every day to serve others in their homes and provide them with the type of care that they deserve. Receiving the RightCare Award was another honor. It wouldn't have been possible if not for my clients. I always think of them first. I do my job because I love to do it and not because I expect to receive any gifts or an award. To me the award is just as special as receiving a smiley face from a client, showing their appreciation.

  • I was immediately impressed by the warm and friendly atmosphere of the office and by the owner, who was very up-front and real. I felt very at home with her and very at ease. [The caregivers] are not just employees. We are family and a team. We look out for one another, and we look out for the owner as well. She is supportive of our situations and is always there to encourage us to grow in our experience and knowledge.
