Who We Are

Right at Home of Tampa was started in 2004 by the local owner, Mimi Buderus.  Mimi was primary caregiver to her parents for 24 years. She knew the need and knew well some of the challenges faced in finding reliable, trustworthy,  professional care. Her overarching goal for the care she provides to the community is based upon the premise "would I want this caregiver in my home with my loved one".  Much time and attention is spent on screening potential caregivers and then on observing current caregivers performance.  We search out pleasant, caring, reliable, professional individuals for our clients. The results are seen in two Tampa Bay area awards for Caregiver of the Year along with Mimi's being a finalist for the Tampa Bay Business Journal's Health Care Hero Awards in 2009.

Mimi wanted to provide the same level of care throughout the Hillsborough County area and so she purchased the Brandon territory in September 2009 and is continuing the quality of care tradition started in Tampa throughout the Brandon to Sun City Center area.

 

From July 2007 through October, 2008, Mimi and the Right at Home Agency provided home services to my 83-year-old brother.  From the beginning Mimi and her caregivers demonstrated extraordinary concern for my brother’s well-being.  Mimi extended herself personally, well beyond ordinary expectations. She always treated him as an interesting, complex human who had lived a long life – never as a “client” and certainly not as just another elderly man in poor health.
