Training and Continuing Education for Care Staff
Right at Home University
Our CERT (Caregiver Education Retention and Training) program provides ongoing, specialized training that ensures that our caregivers understand the high standards of care expected by Right at Home Anne Arundel County.
Through Right at Home University – the educational arm of our CERT Program – caregivers are given training on issues that help them develop as better overall caregivers, as well as deal with very specific situations, including:
Right at Home Anne Arundel County Specialized Programs
The unique needs of Alzheimer's, dementia and Parkinson's care require specialized training and knowledge. Right at Home trained caregivers provide families with individualized, compassionate care for their loved one.
Learn to Earn Program
For those caregivers who are not currently certified as CNAs, Right at Home of Anne Arundel County provides the opportunity to obtain that certification. We will fund up to 50% of the cost of attending CNA school after receiving certain commitments from the caregiver. We find this to be especially valuable for caregivers with multiple years of experience caring for people, but lacking the official certification. Further, if needed, we will advance the other half of the caregiver’s tuition to be repaid ratably over the following 12 weeks via payroll deduction.
