"To Improve the Quality of Life for Those We Serve"
Sydney Greenwalt | Owner
Sydney Greenwalt initially began her career as an Interior Designer in 2012 when she received her BFA in Interior Design. Sydney worked on several residential design projects that included renovations to accommodate elderly and disabled. In 2014, Sydney started a new path as HR Manager for Right at Home in Galveston, Texas – owned by Sydney’s mother, Kristen Carlson. Although Sydney enjoyed design work, her passion was for helping others, and her family’s experience with in-home care is a personal one.
Sydney worked for Right at Home of Greater Galveston for several years, eventually moving into office management. In March of 2016, Sydney and Terry, purchased their own Right at Home in North Austin. Sydney serves on the Senior Leadership Council for the Right at Home Franchise System and is actively engaged in the community. They continue to provide the right care, for the right reasons for all clients and caregivers.
Onika Reyes | Client Care/Alternate Administrator
Onika joined the Right at Home team in Northwest Houston two years ago. She initially worked as a caregiver with a long-time client of theirs, then took on an office role at the Northwest Houston office. She has always had a special place in her heart for working with the those in the elderly community. Onika had her own personal experience as a caregiver for her father before he passed from health complications. Although Onika's father was on hospice, the family could have benefited so much from having an in-home care company to provide additional support. Knowing that, she chose to work with Right at Home because she wanted to make a difference for others in similar situations.
“It is rewarding to work for a company where the work you do every day positively impacts the daily lives of others. I also really enjoy the people I work with and admire their dedication to the clients. Really, they treat the clients like family and go above and beyond for them. That makes it a great company to be a part of."
This summer, her family moved to Austin after her significant other was promoted and transferred with Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen. This brought Onika to Round Rock, and to the Hill Country/ Williamson County Right at Home. The move could not have happened at a better time, not only for Right at Home, but for her personally. Onika always sticks to two quotes that her father used to refer to often, "Things always happen for a reason" and "When there is a will, there is a way". With a new baby on the way, and leaving family behind in Houston, moving to Austin was nerve-racking. However, having an opportunity with a growing team in a rewarding field with a successful company reminds Onika that this is the "reason". Things have truly fallen into place for Onika right on time at Right at Home.
In her current role as Assistant Care Coordinator, Onika assists wherever she is needed whether it be with clients, or caregivers. Onika enjoys talking to families and guiding them through the process of providing in home care for their loved ones. Though this field is extremely rewarding, it is not always easy, but when there is a will, there is a way. Onika truly believes the caregivers are the company; without them there wouldn't be a Right at Home. Onika enjoys assisting the caregivers find the way through the challenges they may face out in the field, and in turn, rewarding them for all their hard work with all our clients we care for. It takes a special type of person to be a caregiver, and Onika believes it’s so great to be a part of a company that has such exceptional team members. If my family had the knowledge of the resources we could have benefited from for my father, we would have chosen Right at Home.
In Onika’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her family. She has a young daughter that she loves to take to the park and do arts and crafts with her. She also really enjoys baking and cooking new recipes. You never know, if you stop by the office you may be lucky enough to get a taste of some home-baked goods!
