John Retzloff, Owner
John Retzloff’s main purpose for owning Right at Home Belmont revolves around family and a greater calling. John understands first-hand what life circumstances out of one’s control can look like as his birth Mom gave him up for adoption when he was only 5. After moving from one foster home to the next at an incredibly young age, John was finally adopted when he was 6 years old and firmly believes to this day this was part of God’s greater plan.
John learned very early what caring for others truly looked like as both his dad and mom were educators for 35+ years with his dad the Superintendent of schools and his mom a Kindergarten and 7th/8th grade English teacher. To take that a step further and prior to adopting both he and his sister, his parents fostered and cared for 39 babies prior to being permanently placed with their adopted families.
It was through these life experiences, coupled with both John and his wife caring for his parents prior to their passing during the Pandemic, that demonstrated full-circle the true importance serving those the way they wish to be cared for in the late stages of their lives. This was something he and his wife felt moved to return to her home state to pay it forward to the communities of Belmont and South Charlotte!
