Upcoming CEU Schedule
We recognize that our field is always improving, and that providing the best care means staying on top of new developments in keeping seniors and adults with disabilities and comfortable. At the same time, we know it can also be beneficial just to brush up on some foundational skills.
That’s why we’re proud to have partnered with subject-matter experts to offer online continuing education units that can assist nurses, case managers, social workers, occupational therapists, pharmacists and others in keeping up to date on their skills.
Polypharmacy and the Elderly
The older population is known to have complex comorbid conditions and providers are known to have little interprofessional communication regarding their patients. This is recipe for polypharmacy, which can be dangerous and actually make a senior's health worse instead of better. Please join Dr. Michael Schuh, a Clinical Ambulatory Pharmacist, as he describes the clinical impact, costs, and risks associated with polypharmacy and shares strategies to minimize the occurrence of this issue. Credit is offered for RN/LPN 1.2 and SW 1.0. Certificates will be issued in the month following attendance of the on demand course. A medication list template is included as a handout for you to share with someone who may need help with polypharmacy.Registration
