Summer is in full swing! Our winter jackets are in storage, and we’ve swapped sturdy boots for sandals or tennis shoes. We may have the windows open or the air conditioning on. For most of the United States, temperatures peak in July and August. Older adults are at increased risk of heat-related health concerns. Any deviation from the normal temperature can stress an older adult’s body. With the peak heat of summer upon us, here are some ways to stay cool, with or without air conditioning.
