The Gift of Mobility in Boston
Right at Home Boston North is pleased to announce that we are donating wheelchairs to Free Wheelchair Mission on behalf of our community partners in Boston! What better way to ring in the New Year than by giving someone in need the transformative gift of mobility? We have decided this year, to show our support to Free Wheelchair Mission and give thanks to our partner’s by donating a wheelchair on their behalf. Right at Home recently made a wheelchair donation to a couple local service partners in Boston:
- Mystic Valley Elder Services out of Malden
- Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services out of Somerville
Our Community Relations Team, Celeste and Victoria, traveled to the above organizations to hand deliver a special gift to their teams throughout January 2019. We donated one wheelchair on behalf of the organization’s and presented their employees with a certificate. The donation, $80.00, is the cost to produce, ship and deliver a wheelchair to someone in need around the world.
“On behalf of all of us at Right at Home Boston and North, we wish all of our partners in Boston a safe, healthy and happy 2019!”, said Celeste Begley Community Relations Director for Right at Home Boston and North.
Our partnerships in Boston allow us to assist local elders and disabled adults continue to live independently wherever they call home. And our partnership with Free Wheelchair Mission allows us to widen our reach to help those in need not just locally but globally. Together with our partner’s we are helping to improve the quality of life for those around the world through durable wheelchairs, awareness, education, support and care.
