LGTBQ Resources for Seniors in the Boston Area
You don’t have to look very far for great resources for LGTBQ older adults in our community. Our partner in the Boston area, Somerville Cambridge Elder Services is on the forefront of making resources and connections available for people. On their website, they have a resource guide that gives current listings of meal programs, health resources, support groups, social groups, faith communities and all kinds of advocacy programs for those who are looking for sensitivity to LGTBQ lifestyles and issues.
There are also online resources available for those that want to be updated for current news in the community. Check out The Rainbow Times, Huffington Post Queer Voices, Bay Windows, The Advocate or LGTBQ Nation.
Somerville Cambridge Elder Services also sponsors Kate’s Cafe at the S&S Deli in Cambridge. If you love deli food, S&S is the best any day. Monthly, LGBTQ older people connect at Kate’s Cafe for dinner. $4 for dinner??? Walk don’t run…
