Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

This time of year in our community it is very difficult to tell the difference between allergy reactions (cough, runny nose) and viruses like flu or coronavirus. If you experience any symptoms of cough, runny nose, fever, feeling run down, weakness or difficulty breathing, call your family physician and follow his or her recommendations. LGTBQ Resources For Seniors in the Boston Area

You don’t have to look very far for great resources for LGTBQ older adults in our community. Right at Home's partner in the Boston area, Somerville Cambridge Elder Services, is on the forefront of making resources and connections available for people. They have a resource guide that gives current listings of meal programs, health resources, support groups, social groups, faith communities and all kinds of advocacy programs for those who are looking for sensitivity to LGTBQ lifestyles and issues.

RightCare Dementia and Cognitive Support Services

Right at Home’s RightCare approach to dementia and cognitive support is grounded in the idea that ALL clients, regardless of the severity or progression of their cognitive change, have abilities to interact and connect with their surroundings. RightCare Dementia and Cognitive Support (RightCare DCS) will be delivered by Certified Cognitive Support Program Providers who have received highly specialized training from our Program Manager to deliver an individualized Personal Plan that accounts for ability, personhood, and lifestyle risk factors known to increase symptoms of dementia, so that, together with families, we can improve the quality of life for those we serve.

The Right at Home RightTeam took a day out and went to Boston to attend the Massachusetts Conference for Women. The conference provides one full day of connection, motivation, networking, inspiration and skill building for thousands of women each year.
