Right at Home Boston/Northwest was founded in 2004 by Ted Bernhardt. Right at Home has the mission of “improving the quality of life for those we serve.” To help accomplish this goal, we have a team of professionals that work hard, every day, to provide you and your family with the best possible service and care.

Ted Bernhardt - Owner
Ted has spent the better part of the last 18 years living his mission of “improving the quality of life for those we serve”. Ted is an understanding and compassionate leader and maintains an active role in the daily operations of Right at Home Northwest to ensure expectations are exceeded for his over 300 clients. He is proud that he has a core staff of employees and over 350 caregivers that have been with him and have helped support the business for these last 16 years including his Director of Operations and his Director of Nursing. He takes pride in supporting and rewarding his employees and values their contributions and together they strive for excellence in all that they do.
Ted received his B.S. degree in Finance from Boston College and an MBA from Suffolk University. He spent many years in financial management in the technology sector and a number of years as the CFO of several small publishing companies in the Boston Area. After being a caregiver for both his parents and his in-laws he transitioned his career to healthcare wanting to make a difference in the lives of others and the community he serves.
Ted is active in the community and was part of the Bedford Chamber of Commerce for many years. He is on the Parent Leadership Council of Boston College, was the 2 time Co-Chair of the Senior Parent Gift Committee at Lawrence Academy, has supported Bedford Dollars for Scholars for many years and is active in support of Emerson Hospital. Most recently Ted and the team at Right at Home were recognized for their work with the “Second Wind Dream Virtual Dementia Tour” in support of Alzheimer’s disease. Ted supports many other local community organizations with his time and resources. He lives in Concord, Massachusetts with his wife Peg O’Brien Bernhardt and their two sons.
Meet our Office Staff
Laura Reynolds –Director of Client Services and Operations
Laura graduated with a degree in Social Work from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts. After many years working in insurance claims she took time off to raise her 3 daughters and care for her grandmother. Laura started with Right at Home in 2004, the year it opened, ready to take on the challenge of assisting the owner and President in setting up his home care operation. 16 years later she continues to handle Client Services, while keeping track of the day to day Operations of “Right at Home”.
She takes pride in the reputation Right at Home has in the community. As the Client Services Manager she is one of the first touch points in the delivery of our compassionate care, coordinating referrals for new and existing clients. Laura is a key member of the Right at Home team and her clinical and administrative experience helps ensure the best possible client outcomes and makes sure that all points of care are being appropriately coordinated.

Eileen Piantedosi – Director of Nursing, RN, BSW, BSN, CDP
Eileen brings over 25 years of nursing experience to “Right at Home” and has been with Right at Home Northwest for 15 years. She is an extremely experienced nurse and social worker and is compassionate in her work and dealings with all of her clients and caregivers. She is on the front lines assessing the needs of each client, developing individual care plans for them, and supervising our caregivers in the field. She monitors the care provided based on changes in the client’s condition and physician’s recommendations , and keeps the line of communication open at all times with each family, physician, care manager, and caregiver involved. Her role is an instrumental part of a successful in-home care plan, wherever home may be. Eileen is also a certified dementia live trainer.
Danielle Franks (Dee) RN, CHPN – Sales and Marketing Director
Dee is the Sales and Marketing Director for “Right at Home” headquartered in Bedford, Massachusetts. She has had the privilege of working as a Registered Nurse for the past 25 years. Her experience includes long-term care, medical surgical hospital work, geriatric psychiatric hospital work in detox and substance abuse clinics, pediatric psychiatric residential experience and hospice and palliative care. Dee received her certification in hospice and palliative care nursing in 2009 and has worked extensively as a Case Manager. She has also worked as a Clinical Manager and as the Director of Clinical Operations for several different hospice companies. She has been a liaison for hospice and palliative care at “ Beth Israel Lahey Health at Home” part of the Lahey Hospital Burlington, Winchester, and North Peabody networks.
After taking care of her frail elderly mother-in-law, Dee made the decision to move into Sales and Marketing and continue as a Clinical Liaison for “Right at Home”. Dee has outstanding communication skills, exceptional assessment skills and high emotional intelligence which gives her a unique compliment of skills to represent our business and and assess client needs. These skills allow her to meet patients and their families, where they are and help them with whatever process/life crisis they are facing. She is ready to support you and is passionate about patient care.
