We live and breathe our mission every day, with the goal of helping you navigate the journey.
These are the people who work to bring you and your loved ones the highest caliber of in home care.
Kate Book – Care Director
Kate joined the Right at home team recently on April 8, 2019. Kate brings 25 years of experience to Right at Home. She started her career locally in long term care at Manatawny Manor as an office manager and assistant administrator. Kate moved on to a long-term care management company in Cherry Hill, NJ. She served as a regional nursing home administrator to ensure state and federal regulatory compliance for resident care, life safety, environmental services, dietary services, and financial management. Kate changed gears from facility management to home care, which she believes “is the long-term care future”.
While working with another home care agency, Kate received a call from a very persistent and persuasive gentleman named Steve Gettins. His vision of home care services and his philosophy of workplace culture, drew Kate to the Right at Home team.
Outside of the workplace, Kate spends every minute she can at the beach. Her favorite hobbies are dogs, music, and swimming. Kate’s philosophy in life is that “Every job is a self-portrait of the person who did it. Autograph your work with excellence."
Cindy Urzillo - Scheduling Coordinator
Cindy became a caregiver after a dear friend suffered a stroke and needed care. This experience deepened her personal desire to enhance the lives of others where she could. Cindy started as a caregiver with Right at Home and now, as part of the office team, she draws on her many years of scheduling experience. She works hard to build good relationships with both clients and caregivers which gives her a thorough understanding of the needs of each and allows her to effectively match clients and caregivers.
Outside of work, Cindy enjoys attending Eagles games with her husband and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Jean Pierce – Client Ambassador
Jean started with Right at Home in August 2016. She worked in a similar environment for the VNA in Vermont. Jean switched roles from a facility maintenance company because it didn’t give her the personal feelings of satisfaction and time flexibility that caregiving does. Jean loves what she does at Right at Home, she has always worked hard to care for people almost as if she was born to do so.
Outside of the workplace, Jean loves to read, sew, crochet, cook, ride a four-wheeler, and spend time “doing nothing” with her family.
Victoria Shewbrooks – Office Manager
Victoria began with Right at Home as office manager in the Lansdale Pa office, and transitioned her role in to the Pottstown Right at Home team. She has 30 years management experience in various medical environments including hospital, family practice, Physical Therapy and Home Care.
Victoria loves being part of a team that provides knowledge and support to those in need. Usually when a client calls us, it's their first time in need of assistance and they can easily become overwhelmed with the details of what to do and the decisions to be made. That's where we come in with experience and guidance to make their lives easier. Whether in the office or on the care team, we all play a part in the Home Care Assistance picture.
Outside of work, Victoria spends time at her drawing board working on various art/illustration projects. She and her husband enjoy camping, hiking and seeing the world through the lens of their cameras.
Loren Smith – Onboarding Manager
Loren joined the Right at Home in late 2020. She brings 15 years of management experience from the healthcare industry. Loren began her career in pharmacy, servicing long-term care, corrections, and behavioral health facilities. Most recently, she was working for a global clinical research firm and involved with the many COVID-19 studies.
Loren is now working to bring in the best of the best to service our clients. Her past hiring experience steered Loren to Right at Home and she loves being a part of the family. Loren works hard to make the hiring process a smooth transition for our awesome caregivers.
Outside of the workplace you can find Loren searching for sea glass on the beach, spending quality time with friends, photography, and always listening to music.
