Caregiver Appreciation

Our caregivers are the important individuals who really impact our clients' lives. We want to show them our appreciation by honoring them and the hard work they put in.

Each month we select one person to be awarded our Caregiver of the Month and then an annual winner is selected from those each January. Winners are given a small gift and featured here on our website! We look for caregivers who exhibit the following qualities for our team:

  • Demonstate exemplary commitment to making a difference in the lives of their clients and teams
  • Reliable, dependable, and communicative
  • Willing to do more than what is expected

“Our compassionate team of caregivers and office members work tirelessly to care for clients and provide the highest level quality of care in everything they do." - owner, Steve Gettins

March 2024 Caregiver of the Month

Kim Warmuth

Kim Warmuth is new to the field of caregiving and has been at Right at Home since October 2023. Kim came to Right at Home looking for a new career path. She states, “I was hesitant because I thought I needed a nursing degree to get into the field. When I saw the ad that no experience was necessary and training would be provided, I decided to give it a try.” Since that time, Kim has trained and is now able to shower and transfer her clients. Kim has shown tremendous dedication and will travel to cover shifts more than most. Kim states, “I love taking care of people. This was the best change I could have made.”

Kim and her husband, Phil, enjoy being with their adult children. They have one dog and three cats. In her spare time, Kim enjoys baking.

2023 Caregiver of the Year & January 2024 Caregiver of the Month

Bob Nelson

Recently, our office was thrilled to recognize Bob Nelson for providing an exceptional level of care to clients in the area and was awarded Caregiver of the Year for 2023 at a ceremony at our Pottstown location. Prior to joining the Right at Home team, Bob worked for various other agencies and has been a caregiver for over six years. He developed his passion for caring for others while taking care of his blind grandfather as he was growing up. His grandfather lived nearby, and Bob became his “seeing eye human” and enjoyed educating him about social media, the internet and pop culture. He says “I like helping people. I have done it since I was a child.”

After his grandfather’s passing, he wanted to continue helping people and found a career as a caregiver. He is inspired by fictional characters and his favorite quote from All-Star Superman written by Grant Morrison is “You are much stronger than you think you are”.

Right at Home of Lower Berks County, Upper Chester County and Western Montgomery County, Care Director Kate Book, thinks Bob is a superstar. She says, “Caregiver of the Year is our top star in reliability.  Bob truly goes above and beyond to perform high quality care for our clients and is the epitome of our mission.” Upon winning this award Bob said, “The award means a lot to me. It’s nice to be recognized for doing what I like to do
