Home Care in Cedar Rapids from Local Professionals
It is my absolute pleasure to be the owner of Right at Home in Cedar Rapids. I love speaking with people, learning about their lives, and determining how we can best serve them. I am a strong believer in helping people stay in their homes in surroundings that are most familiar and comfortable to them. It is our intention at Right at Home to enhance quality of life. My interest in this business is rooted in my professional background of home health physical therapy. The communication and assessment skills I gained through working in physical therapy have served me well in home care. I am an Iowa native and earned both of my degrees from the University of Iowa. My husband and I live in Cedar Rapids and we have three daughters and one golden retriever. I enjoy gardening, the outdoors, traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends. I look forward to speaking with you soon!
Schedule Care Manager
My name is Juan Soto, and I joined the Right at Home Cedar Rapids team in March, 2014 as a CNA a few months after I moved to Iowa due to my wife relocating to the University of Iowa. Prior to joining Right at Home I was a CNA for 12 years working at various assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health, hospice, and in home care agencies obtaining specialized training in dementia care, Alzheimer and many others. In 2015 I was first promoted to Staff Coordinator and then to a Schedule Care Manager, my current position, where I oversee the daily management of the care-giving staff and take the lead in ensuring our customers receive the best service in the industry. I have enjoyed my time at Right at Home where it feels like working with family, and am excited to continue serving all our incredible customers.
My name is Donna Beachy and I have been a caregiver for over 20 years. I have provided in-home and hospice care. I have experience working in a variety of areas including memory/dementia care at nursing homes as well as providing therapy. I have been with Right at Home for 1 year as a caregiver and I began providing office support in addition to caregiving in July 2018. I am also a Care Supervisor in that I perform supervisory visits with other caregivers in the field to ensure high-quality care is being delivered to our clients. I enjoy reading and watching my grandkids play sports. I love to cheer on the Iowa Hawkeyes. I have 3 children- Amy, Joshua, & Jacklyn and my greatest joys are my 6 awesome grandchildren- Spencer, Ethan, Makayla, Evan, Wyatt and Eadie./p>
My name is Kristin, I joined the Right at Home team in 2015. I have always loved caring for others starting at an early age. As a young girl I enjoyed helping out in the special needs class room thru my elementary school. From there I knew I had a special gift and that was caring for others. I worked at the ARC with children with disabilities, the hospitals and REM where I gained knowledge of behavior disorders, brain injuries, mental and physical disabilities. I love making a difference and helping others. I have been blessed with two amazing little boys, Cayden and Kayne. Seeing them grow and picking up on characteristics that I see in myself just fills my heart knowing they may follow my path and care for others as well. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and pets, fishing, volleyball and riding my horse. I hope to make an impact on the lives of our clients and staff thru Right at Home.
June was born and raised near the area of Marshalltown, IA and lived on a farm. That is where caregiving came into her life. June helped care for her siblings and cared for her Grandmother who had Alzheimer’s. At age 11, she was her shadow, always making sure that she stayed out of trouble. At 18, June became a CNA. When she started a family with her husband, she became a stay-at-home mom to three children for 23 years. She decided to become a caregiver after her children had left home. June has worked for home care companies in the office or as a caregiver for the last 10 years. "It’s such a good feeling when you know that you’ve helped a client and made their day better!"
June enjoys crafting, making jewelry, crocheting, canning, and traveling.
