Everyday People... Inspiring Lives
So, a friend of mine messaged me in January asking if I wanted to participate in a podcast, FOR FREE. She is a professional photographer and had recently started a media production position at a local marketing firm called Banowetz Marketing. Of course, I jumped at the chance because a) no money was involved, b) I have a growing interest in creating my own podcast so I thought it would be fun to experience how one is made, and c) I will do just about anything to promote Right at Home. I think you have to be willing to put yourself out there in a variety of ways to ensure your name and business are known.
The woman who interviewed me wanted to uncover how I got to this point in my life and how I came to owning a home care company. It took me back to all aspects of my life, from when I was a teenager to finding my spouse and having a family and how all of those experiences shaped me over the past 30 years that brought me to today. It was a great opportunity to reflect on and communicate my knowledge about what I think it takes to be a successful business owner. I am by no means an expert so ongoing learning and ability to adapt is key. Admittedly, it was a bit of a challenge because I like sharing my story but I feel as though I am better at listening and responding to the stories of others. And that is my motivation for having a podcast of my own where ordinary, everyday people, like myself, can share special experiences or revelations around their own lives which can, ultimately, inspire someone else’s life.
More to come on my podcast, “Everyday People…..Inspiring Lives”!
