Staff Profiles

Stephan Swafford, Owner

Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Stephan Swafford recently acquired the Right at Home in North Augusta when the previous owners retired after 12 years in business.

Swafford is a former Augusta local and recently moved back after living out West for five years. Before he moved west, he was a member of the board of directors for the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce and worked in management at Verizon Wireless. Looking to get into business ownership and moving back to Augusta, Swafford searched for opportunities where he could combine his strong business acumen with his passion to help people. By taking over the local Right at Home, he hopes to alleviate the stress and worry that comes with handling care for aging loved ones. 

Stephan worked in telecommunications for 27 years, the last 22 of those were with Verizon Wireless. He managed multiple retail locations and handled indirect sales. Stephan thought owning a business would be a good next step, and he wanted to help others and get them where they wanted to be. Stephan is originally from South Carolina, and he wanted to be close to family and get involved with something that was meaningful. Right at Home was a great fit. 

Marie Harris, Human Resources Administrator at CSRA Care Group Inc., dba Right at Home

Marie's primary function with the company is to locate, contact, interview and hire qualified applicants to work as a CNA, PCA or Caregiver to the elderly citizens of the Central Savannah River Area. Marie brings over 35 years experience in the human resources industry. She enjoys helping individuals achieve their career goals while assisting the elderly with their daily living activities so they can enjoy their senior years to their fullest potential.

Carla Price, Intake Coordinator

Carla has a Bachelor of Science degree from Winthrop University. She became a part of the Right at Home team in July 2016 and is the Intake Coordinator. Because of Carla's previous Sales and Event Planning experience she is a great asset to our Sales and Marketing team. Carla says that her

"...role at Right at Home is to meet with prospective new clients and sign them up for service. It's a privilege to meet our wonderful clients and their families. I enjoy being part of a great team that works hard to ensure they get the care and assistance they need."

 

Hope Kindred, Accounts Receivable

Hope joined Right at Home November 2016 as Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Coordinator. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and more recently completed a General Accounting Certificate program. She brings more than 15 years various work experience/background including accounts payable/accounts receivable, administrative assistant, and other office positions.

Dana Carpenter, Director of Marketing

When she began as an Activity Director for an independent senior apartment facility in 2001, she had no idea 16 years later she would be the Marketing Director for Right at Home-CSRA.  In 2008 Dana joined the Right at Home team.  Her journey since then has allowed her to serve in many capacities. She utilizes her prior experiences in Human Resources, Scheduling, Management, and Accounting to make both Seniors and the Healthcare Communities aware of the benefits of the services we offer.

Kimberley Stokes, Facilities Supervisor

Kimberley has a degree in Radiology Technology, 15 years experience in Management and the Health industry, as well as 5 years as a Personal Care Aid. She started out with Right at Home as a Personal Caregiver and as the organization has grown so has she. Kimberley's been a part of the Right at Home team for over three years. Currently she serves as the Facilities Supervisor for all of Right at Home - CSRA.  

Kim Dixon, Staffing Supervisor

Kim has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and  worked as an office manager.  She retired in 2013 to care for her parents until their death. Right at Home really appealed to her on a personal level because of her passion for making others happy as well as the time spent caring for her parents, working with Hospice companies, and the Alzheimer’s Association.  

As the Staffing Supervisor she is responsible for making sure that the right caregiver is placed with the right client.  

Kim loves connecting with our caregivers, the clients, and their family members. 

Rhonda Dicks, Recruiter/Scheduling and Human Resource Assistant

Rhonda is multi-faceted with experience in industries such as Customer Service, Retail, Education, Community Development, Media, Human Resource, Sales and others. Regardless of the title or capacity her primary goal is always to directly or indirectly to help others. 

In the threefold role she currently serves with Right at Home, Rhonda gets to locate, hire, and schedule the caregivers. So she's involved with many from the beginning.
