Eric Hicks — President
I had worked in the Nursing Home industry for 12 years prior to opening my Right at Home Franchise. I decided to open this business for two reasons:
As a manager of market development for a nursing home chain I felt empathy for the families that could no longer provide the care that their family member needed for a multitude of reasons and were forced to send their loved one to a nursing facility. I thought that if I could build a team of caregivers that would allow these elderly people to stay at home longer that it would be better for the person needing care and the family that needed help.
Secondly, my stepmother had a stroke and after 30 days in a rehab facility she was told she would be discharged within the next two days. I made calls to several agencies and they told me that they did not do private pay business and focused on Medicaid only. Another agency told me that it would take two weeks to get her the care I requested. That made me realize this area needed an in-home care agency that focused on recruiting good caregivers and worked hard to ensure they were properly screened and trained.

Kris Dunham — Operations Manager
Throughout my childhood and professional career, I developed a passion for wanting to serve and help others throughout my community. I had very close relationships with my Grandparents and interacted with the elderly a lot at an early age. That is the reason why shortly after moving from Northern Virginia to West Virginia in early 2012, I joined Right at Home as the Human Resources Manager.
Going on my 6th year with the company now, I take pride in knowing that our Agency has a positive impact on the lives in the surrounding communities in which we live.
Tiffany Pettigrew — Care Coordinator
Tiffany has lived in the Charleston area all her life. Tiffany has worked in the Home Health industry over 10 years. She joined the RAH team in 2005 as a caregiver and was promoted in 2009 to a Care Coordinator.
Tiffany has a great passion for helping and caring for others. She enjoys what she does and hopes to have a positive impact on everyone she meets.
Terri Mitchell — Care Coordinator
Terri joined the Right at Home team in 2013 as a caregiver. Due to the hard work she provides, Terri was promoted to a Care Coordinator in 2014.
Terri has a very caring attitude and enjoys making sure that our clients get the help they need.
Kathy Rogers — Payroll and Billing
Kathy has been with Right at Home for over ten (10) years. She started as a Staffing Coordinator, now my primary duties are payroll and billing. Prior to working with Right at Home, she worked in third party billing for different companies.
For the twelve (12) years prior to moving back to WV in 1997, she worked in personnel as an Employment Specialist and, as a second job in Florida worked as a CNA/Homemaker.
Beth Thomas — Registered Nurse, Clinical Director
She has been a registered nurse for 35 years, working with the senior population for over 20 years. She joined the Right at Home team in 2009. She has worked out in the community most of that time.
Her love for the senior population drives her to provide the best care possible to ensure a good quality of life for them. She feels blessed that she can develop long-term relationships with the people that she takes care of. She feels that better care can be provided by building long-term relationships.
Nicole King, RN — Registered Nurse
Nicole King graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in 2005 with an Associates Degree in Nursing and an Associates Degree in Applied Science/Gerontology. She also holds certifications in basic life support (BLS), advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS) and crisis intervention.
Prior to nursing, Nicole was a direct care worker with personal care clients. After nursing school, she became a charge nurse in the emergency department of a community hospital. Nicole left the ER 12 years later, she joined Right at Home as the supervising RN for the personal care program in Kanawha County, West Virginia.
Trish Cook — Humana at Home Supervisor
Trish runs our Humana at Home program. She hires, trains, and manages nurses and social workers (referred to as care managers).
Prior to joining the Right at Home team in 2016, Trish worked as a care manager for two years.
Angie Harbour — Executive Secretary
Angie joined the Right at Home team with an Associates’ in Business Administration. She is responsible for providing secretarial, clerical, and administrative support, helping ensure efficiency and effectiveness within the Right at Home office.
Scott Feldhaus — Marketing & Recruiting
Scott Feldhaus graduated from West Virginia State University with a degree in business management. Prior to joining Right at Home, Scott had worked in retail, hospitality and banking industries.
As an ordained minister in the state of West Virginia, Scott always has a passion to help those in need. Transitioning out of the customer service field, he became a marketer in the healthcare industry. He joined Right at Home in 2011 as the marketing and recruiting specialist.
Beckley/Princeton Office Staff
Teresa Webb - Operations Manager
Teresa has been with Right at Home since the Beckley office opened in 2009. She has a Masters in Health Care Administration as well as a Social Work license. She has a back ground in home health as well as the hospital setting.
"When I first interviewed with Mr. Hicks for the position with Right at Home I was very motivated when I left the interview. I was excited about what Right at Home would bring to Beckley and what It could offer in elder care. This was something that I believed in and was hopeful that we would provide a better quality of life for those we serve. I agreed 100% with the mission statement of Right at Home. I purposed in my mind that I would not hire anyone unless I would send that person into my own parents’ home to provide care. One of the most important aspects of Right at Home is client/caregiver matching. We try to get a good fit with each case and for the most part we do. We know our caregivers and our clients and strive to meet the demands."
Autumn Ward — Office Manager
Prior to pursuing a career in healthcare, Autumn Ward had worked as a legal assistant for 10 years. She became motivated to obtain an Associates Degree in Healthcare Administration from the Valley College when she worked in a clinic as a certified medical assistant; “I have always loved healthcare and everything about it. I realized how much I want to help others as I worked in the clinic, so I went back to school to advance my knowledge.”
Autumn joined Right at Home as the office manager; she is in charge of scheduling, caregiver training, billing and payroll in our Princeton office.
Cheri Beck — Recruiting/ Marketing and Customer Service
Cheri is proud to say she handles Marketing and Sales for Right at Home in Beckley and Princeton. Our territory spans Mercer, Raleigh and Fayette Counties in Southern West Virginia. She has been involved in the Home Care industry for over 30 years now in many different areas. From being the Marketing Director for a National Oxygen Company, to helping start and formulate Policy and Procedures for the second and only Nurse owned Home Nursing Agency in Mercer Co.
"I have seen many changes in the Health Care industry over the years but the one thing that has remained the same is the desire for clients to remain in their homes. Right at Home provides the needed help in a professional but compassionate way. I am honored to be part of Right at Home and have been enriched by the folks, over the five plus years I have been with them", says Cheri Beck.
Tressea Frazier — Registered Nurse
She has been a Case Manager with Right at Home since 2013. Since graduating from Bluefield State College with her nursing degree in 1985, she has practiced in varied areas including Acute Care, Hospice, Long Term Care and Home Health. She is a Certified Nurse Executive through AANAC and a Board-Certified Gerontology Nurse through ANCC. Ms. Frazier also holds a license as a Long-Term Care Administrator.
"I have worked in many different areas of nursing, but I always come back to the geriatric population-that is where my heart is! In my current capacity as an RN Case Manager, I can assist our under-served elderly population in getting the various services they need. It is very rewarding to know that I can help our clients remain safely in their own homes for as long as possible. Sometimes that little bit of assistance can make a tremendous difference, both physically and emotionally. Most folks truly are most happy when right at home!"
Scarlett Thompson, RN, BSN — Registered Nurse
Scarlett Thompson has always been a caregiver to someone—she provided care for her mother who had Alzheimer’s and dementia. When her husband was on life support for 12 weeks due to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), she was his primary caregiver as well.
“I have always worked in some facet of health care before I became a registered nurse,” says Scarlett. “My past jobs included medical billing, insurance eligibility, transcription, wound care and aquatic therapy. Taking care of others’ needs is what I do.”
She attended Mountain State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2012 and is certified in hospice care. Prior to joining Right at Home in summer of 2017, she held positions including care manager for hospice compasses and RN at the orthopedic and pediatric floors of Princeton Community Hospital.
As the personal care RN at Right at Home, Scarlett also facilitates caregiver and CPR certification training programs.
Donna Gibson — Care Manager
Donna joined the Right at Home team in 2015. She has over 25 years in the medical field, and handles scheduling, billing and payroll for the Beckley caregivers and clients.
