Our Mission

Put simply, our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. Of course, we recognize that everyone’s idea of “quality of life” is different, which is why it’s so important to us to make you an active part of your own care plan. We want you to be in the driver’s seat regardless of any limitations or challenges you’re facing.

Most of all, we believe aging isn’t just about staying healthy, safe and independent. It’s also about living well.

Right at Home Chesterfield Owner, Cassy Paminiano, RN

Coming from a family of nurses, Cassy Paminiano knew that she was meant for a career in healthcare and is expanding Right at Home in-home care assistance in Virginia.

Cassy grew up in Petersburg, Virginia, and went on to become a licensed practical nurse from Chesterfield Technical School. After receiving her license, she went to work for a local hospital but soon decided to go back to school at John Tyler Community College and become a registered nurse. Within six months, Cassy was working in the critical care unit at John Randolph Medical Center. Ten years later, Cassy obtained her Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University and became director of the intensive care unit at John Randolph. Cassy earned her Master of Business Administration from Walden University in 2012.

As she pursued her education, Cassy looked into different franchises as a way to leave her hospital positions and put her MBA to greater use. While looking at various home health franchises, she discovered Right at Home. She rightly figured that the franchise would let her leverage her nursing skills and extensive hospital background in a business environment, and she knew Right at Home could make a difference for many families in Virginia.

After learning about available territories, Cassy decided to join Right at Home and expand the brand in Chesterfield and Richmond.

Our Founder, Allen Hager. Our Founder, Allen Hager.

Our History

During his years working as a hospital administrator, our founder Allen Hager watched many patients, especially seniors, leave the hospital and return home. But they did not necessarily return to health. Allen found that, once at home, a lot of his former patients were unable to care for themselves. He knew that with a little help, most of these people could lead healthy, happy lives in their homes. This became the idea for Right at Home.

After talking to dozens of families about the challenges they faced and what kinds of care would help, he became a certified nursing assistant to experience firsthand the needs of people who required professional assistance to continue living at home.

Today, with the help of Allen’s insights, Right at Home has grown to over 600 locations that serve tens of thousands of clients across the U.S. and around the world.
