Personal Care Assistant (Fountain Valley, CA)

Caregiver duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Eating and preparing meals and snacks
- Dressing
- Accompanying and possibly driving client to/from errands or medical appointments
- Taking walks, playing games, or engaging in other stimulating activities together
- Ambulation, Transferring client to/from wheelchair or bed
- Housekeeping duties can include: Vacuuming, dusting, sweeping/mopping floors, changing linens, laundry, and cleaning kitchen/bathroom.
- Personal hygiene. Assisting to bathroom or using a bedpan, bathing, oral care, shaving, skin care, and hair care/dressing.
Caregivers are instructed by a Right at Home nurse to perform certain patient-specific activities. These could include (but are not limited to):
- Medication reminders
- Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises
- Measuring and preparing special diets
- Understanding dementia care
- Incontinence care
Qualifications and Skills:
*** Bi/Multilingual (Vietnamese, Spanish) is a bonus! ***- 1-year caregiving experience or Home Care Aide in healthcare (in homes or facilities) preferred.Ability to read and write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Possession of a valid driver’s license, State ID, or U.S. Passport.
- Ownership of insured automobile is preferred.
- High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate.
- Compassionate and trustworthy. Willing to continuously learn. Demonstrates patience and understanding and empathy.
