Right at Home Trains Sheriff Cadets on How to Assist Those with Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and Cognitive Decline

Right at Home of Central Ohio held a training class for a group of over 40 cadets from Franklin and Delaware Counties. The training provided an overview of Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and other causes of cognitive decline, behaviors they are likely to see and how to best respond. They role played common scenarios and learned how to show empathy and deescalate tense situations. The training was very well received and very important given the projected increases in those with these diseases.
