Sharon Smith, Director of Home Care Services
Sharon started working with Right at Home in October 2015 and truly enjoys working with clients to help them remain independent and safe in their own home. Sharon found her way to Chapel Hill by way of Clay City, IL (Southern Illinois), Chicago and Richmond, VA. Her husband Clark is a UNC alumni and said someday he would return to the Chapel Hill area and she decided to come along! Sharon has a diverse background in nursing including the hospital setting, home health, skilled nursing home and now home care and assistance. Sharon and her husband Clark live in Chapel Hill, NC; have two adult children Jennifer and David who live in the Triangle along with two grandchildren.
Bertha Williams, Nurse Manager
Bertha joined Right at Home on a part time basis in August of 2016 as the Associate Nurse Manager. Bertha is an RN, MSN & MBA. Her diverse nursing background includes working in an acute care hospital setting, home health, community health nurse as well as health care management. In addition to assisting with Nurse Management duties, Bertha is primarily responsible for updating and maintaining Right at Home agency policies and procedures, developing SOPs and implementing operational changes. Bertha currently lives in Durham, NC, has two adult children and three grandchildren. Her son Derrick lives in Durham and daughter Michelle lives in Tennessee.
Katie Thackeray, Business Manager
Katie joined Right at Home in February 2017 as the Business Manager after relocating to the Cary, NC in October 2016. Katie is originally from Houston and has a B.S. degree in Equine Administration from William Woods University in Fulton, MO. Before joining Right at Home, Katie was the Office Manager for a small business in the Houston, TX area for three years. Her primary responsibility as Business Manager is handling all accounting, payroll and business management duties and assisting with the day-to-day operations.Katie is married (to Nathan) and they have a son Leo that keeps them busy most days.
Pamela Williamson, Director of Operations
Pamela joined Right at Home in September 2014 initially as the Business Manager. Prior to joining the Right at Home team, Pamela worked as the Office Manager for Brand It, Inc. in Durham for 4 years and Administrative Support Manager for another company 12 years. In September 2015, Pamela was promoted to Director of Operations for the company.Pamela's responsibilities include office personnel management, overseeing all HR functions, and all other office leadership duties.Pamela lives in Rougemont, NC with her husband (Lee), has two adult sons (Joshua and Eddie) who live in the Durham area and three grandchildren.
Amy Ng, Client Intake Manager
Amy Ng is the Client Intake Manager for Right at Home of the Triangle. She grew up in Apex, NC and went to East Carolina University for undergrad, and UNC-CH for a Masters in Recreation Administration with a concentration in recreation therapy. She spent over 20 years as Activity Director for several senior living settings including SNF, memory care, Assisted Living and Independent living before transitioning into a Community Sales role in an IL. Over the last few years, Amy has worked in Home Care as a care advisor and has been with Right at Home since August of 2019. She and her husband Eddy have two children. In her spare time she enjoys reading, crafting, and spending time at the beach.
Sydney Macklin, Office Coordinator
Sydney joined the Right at Home in June of 2019 as the Office Coordinator (or Assistant). Prior to joining the Right at Home team, Sydney worked as an Event Coordinator for a local Bed and Breakfast in Durham, NC. Sydney currently holds an Associates in Arts from Central Piedmont Community College, which is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. In addition to this, Sydney is working towards getting her Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management at North Carolina Central University. Her primary responsibilities as Office Coordinator (or Assistant) are answering phones, managing the front desk, assisting scheduling & business operations, and supporting other office administrative activities for the Right at Home team and clients.
Tim Wach, Client Relationship Manager
Tim joined Right at Home in December 2018 as a Client Relationship Manager. In this role, he is responsible for building positive relationships with the community serving older adults, clients/families and referral partners. Tim has over 20 years of experience in business and relationship development and has worked for such companies as Capital Associated Industries and EGW Personnel Services. He is a graduate from Canisius College and relocated here from Buffalo, NY in 1994. Tim is married and has 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl, as well as 1 grandson. When he isn’t working, you’ll find Tim spending time with his family, playing golf, or watching football (big Bills fan) and hockey.
Ashley Suitt, Recruiting Coordinator
Ashley joined the Right at Home in June of 2020 as the Recruiting Coordinator. Prior to joining the Right at Home team, Ashley worked at Brookdale Senior Living Community as the Business Office Coordinator for 4 years in Durham, NC. Ashley currently holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Management from North Carolina Central University. She has a son who she will do anything for. She enjoys watching him play football during his season where she is the team mom. Ashley is a huge fan of the UNC Tarheels.
Amanda McKeithan, Care Coordinator
Amanda joined the Right at Home team on September 9, 2019 as Staffing Associate working in the scheduling department. Prior to joining Right at Home, Amanda worked for Family Fare as a Support Specialist for 4 years and before than she worked in retail management for over ten years for Walmart & Big Lots. Amanda lives in Roxboro, NC with her husband Doug and three children (Jonathan, Imani, and Destiny). She has a granddaughter, Serenity, who is her #1 fan. She is very active in her community and volunteers for a non-profit organization called H.E.A.R.T.S.
Jazmia Tyson, Care Coordinator
Jazmia joined Right at Home in December 2019 as a Care Coordinator, in the scheduling department. Jazmia has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Prior to joining the Right at Home team, Jazmia worked as a Staffing Coordinator in the Home Care Department at Croasdaile Village for 2.5 years. She is responsible for ensuring that all client/caregiver schedule activities are completed and documented according to agency guidelines. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with family & friends, photography, and sports.
