Right at Home is pleased to announce a new free program for individuals who live alone and may be experiencing the effects of loneliness and depression resulting from the stay-at-home order in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The fear and anxiety created by this deadly virus results in people not wanting to leave the safety of their homes for essential items such as food and medicine, particularly for the elderly population who are high-risk for the disease. Additionally, our senior population may not know who to turn to for help or know that options like home delivery are available to them.

Once a day, someone from one of our two local Right at Home offices in Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati will call a homebound individual or couple to check in and see how they are doing. Simply talking to someone outside their home can provide a calming reassurance that someone does care and can also provide them with information and resources to help them stay safe and healthy.

Simply call one of our two offices, listed below, and give us the name of a friend, relative, neighbor, or someone you are concerned about during this trying time. Provide us with their name, phone number, and an emergency contact, and we will attempt to call them up to three times in a day. If after calling 3 times we do not connect or get a reply, we will reach out to the emergency contact listed.

Many seniors and disabled individuals have cancelled or limited services to their homes for added protection from the virus. The daily call is not a substitute for other services but some assurance that someone cares and is looking out for them.
