Julia Sherrod | Vice President of Operations

Julia Sherrod

Julia came aboard in July 2018 and serves as the VP of Operations. She has over 20 years’ experience working with the senior population at UTMB in Galveston bringing a great deal of experience and education to the team. A teacher and servant at heart, she quickly came in to teach the caregivers and office staff all she had to offer, including CPR/AED training, and establishing a monthly training program for caregivers while offering her knowledge of cross training to the office staff. She enjoys leading, teaching, training, educating clients, and encouraging staff to give the best version of themselves in all they do. Her relaxation time is best spent getting a massage, pedicure, and spending time with her husband and family.

Baili Dressman | Right Care Coordinator

Baili Dressman

Baili has been with Right at Home since January 2017. She is a Right Care Coordinator assisting with new client sign ups, marketing in the community, as well as being the guru for Long Term Care insurance processing. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, baby girl, watching her two boys play baseball and football, hanging outside, doing crafts, and going to visit family.

Katie Schloss | Scheduling Coordinator

Katie Schloss

Katie joined Right at Home in November of 2019 and serves as our Scheduling Coordinator. Katie has over 10 years of experience working in healthcare administration. Previously she served as a billing coordinator for several independent mental health practices. Katie earned her bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration from Texas State University in 2016. She enjoys her role as a scheduling coordinator and works hard to ensure the best fit for both our clients and caregivers. When she's not working, she enjoys hanging out with her husband and kids, home renovation projects, crafting and reading.

Melinda Nelson | Human Resources Manager

Melinda Nelson

Melinda joined Right at Home Galveston in August 2020 as Human Resource Manager and comes with eight years of experience managing the Right at Home Bay Area office. Melinda has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Sam Houston State University. Although she spent most of her early years raising her family, Melinda came to Right at Home after losing her father and experiencing first-hand the importance of personal care, home health and hospice. Her 97-year-old grandmother is the perfect example of Right at Home’s mission statement of being able to age at home and still have quality of life. During Melinda’s off time, she enjoys spending time with her children and her two grandchildren.

Alma Miranda | On-Call Coordinator

Alma Miranda - Caregiver and On-Call Coordinator

Alma joined the Right at Home Greater Galveston team in September 2020 as a Caregiver and On Call Coordinator. Alma is drawn to the healthcare field because of her passion for helping others. Her upbeat demeanor, open mind, and kind heart allow others to feel at ease with her as a caregiver and as office staff. She has a passion for taking care of the elderly and making sure both the client and their family are happy with the caregiver assigned to them. As a caregiver, it is her opportunity to give back to the people who need care the most. Not only does she have a comforting effect on people, but she also deeply cares for animals. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her spouse and 4-legged family members. She enjoys cooking, traveling, home projects that involve rearranging for a fresh look, and roller-skating.
