Supporting Local Causes Affecting Seniors Earns Nomination

On July 17th, the Los Angeles Business Journal announced that Right at Home had been nominated for their 2020 Health Care Panel & Awards. Right at Home was championed for this prestigious award by Bernice Detig of the Parkinson’s Foundation. Detig highlighted Right at Home's participation in their organization’s annual Moving Day fundraising event, noting that the home care organization had supported the event for over 5 years, citing, “…their dedication to the cause and support of the event, both financially and in providing information and entertainment at the event has been not only appreciated but inspiring.” She closed by calling Right at Home, “A truly outstanding organization.”

Right at Home President & CEO Doug Dickstein was surprised and humbled by the nomination. “Right at Home has served the Los Angeles area since 2008,” commented Dickstein. “To be recognized by the preeminent business publication in Los Angeles for our work in our community, especially during this unprecedented time for the health care field, is truly an honor.

Right at Home will be among the nominees featured in the August 24th issues of the Los Angeles Business Journal. The winners will be unveiled at a virtual event on Wednesday, August 26th. Not only will we be honoring the accomplishments of individuals and organizations that have made great strides in providing better quality healthcare, the event will bring together Los Angeles’s most elite industry officials for a panel discussion about the state of healthcare, delivery of care, and the overall impact to business in Southern California.

More than ever, it is important to recognize not only the first responders, but those leaders and teams who are running these healthcare organizations and making key decisions to help improve our community,” said Josh Schimmels, Publisher and CEO of the Los Angeles Business Journal.
