As part of the “Sandwich Generation” – working and caring for both children and aging parents -- Doug and Leanna Dickstein know what families manage every day. They believe with the right assistance you can manage your life while still caring for family members who need assistance to stay in their home while improving their quality of life which is Right at Home’s mission. They have owned the Glendale/Burbank [Beverly Hills] Right at Home for nearly 10 years fulfilling this mission every day.
Doug Dickstein, Owner
Doug is certified by the Society for Certified Senior Advisors as a CSA®. Continually seeking to increase his knowledge of issues that affect seniors, he recently completed the certification course “Health and Wellness in an Aging Society” presented by University of Southern California’s Davis School of Gerontology and the American Society on Aging.
He is a former sales and marketing executive in the entertainment industry working for television networks prior to opening Right at Home.
Leanna Dickstein, Owner
Leanna has worked in a variety of industries over the years and combines all of her varied experience to enhance the care of the clients we serve. Most notably she worked at the Rose Medical Center in the Emergency Department brining medical knowledge to the custom care plans created for Right at Home clients. She is also a paralegal who worked at The State Bar of California and a trained pastry chef working at numerous restaurants in Los Angeles including Spago and the Ritz-Carlton in Pasadena.
Bettering the Lives of Seniors in Greater Los Angeles
With a desire to make a difference in people’s lives along with a career change, Doug and Leanna believed assisting the elderly and contributing to the greater good of their community would be a worthwhile pursuit.
Community betterment is important to both Leanna and Doug. Doug has worked in numerous volunteer capacities through the years, including as co-chair of the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council in Los Angeles.
