Doug Dickstein - President and CEO

Doug is the co-owner of Right at Home servicing the Beverly Hills/Hollywood and Glendale/Burbank areas since 2008. A former sales and marketing executive in the entertainment industry, Doug has focused his energies for more than a decade on making sure Right at Home provides the highest level of care, professionalism and customer service to the seniors and disabled adults we serve. Doug is certified by the Society for Certified Senior Advisors as a CSA®. Continually seeking to increase his knowledge of issues that affect seniors, he has completed the certification course “Health and Wellness in an Aging Society” presented by the University of Southern California’s Davis School of Gerontology and the American Society on Aging. Doug also has completed the RightCare Dementia and Cognitive Support program. Doug received his bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University and his master’s degree from California State University-Northridge.

Leanna Dickstein co-owner of Right at Home Glendale

Leanna Dickstein - Vice-President & COO

Leanna has worked in a variety of industries over the years and combines all of her varied experience to enhance the care of the clients we serve. Most notably she worked at the Rose Medical Center in the Emergency Department bringing medical knowledge to the custom care plans created for Right at Home clients. She is also a paralegal who worked at The State Bar of California and a trained pastry chef working at numerous restaurants in Los Angeles including Spago and the Ritz-Carlton in Pasadena. Leanna oversees the Right at Home’s employee benefits initiatives and veteran’s programs as well as overseeing employee retention and reward efforts.

Janelle Woods - Care manager

Janelle Woods - Client Care Manager

Janelle Woods, who was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley area, focuses on healthcare related studies, as she has always had a passion for the elderly and helping others. Janelle brings 14 years of real-life business experience to seeing that the needs of seniors are being met. She has exceptional skills in Client Management, Staff Training and Development, Staff Recruitment and Retention, Organizational & Strategic Planning, and Management Coaching. Her degrees and certifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, CPR/BLS, Phlebotomy, and Alzheimer’s and Dementia, and Parkinson’s, in addition to numerous home care and healthcare related training certificates. Janelle has worked in conjunction with nurses, discharge planners, and physicians in the Los Angeles County area, including Burbank, Glendale, Sun Valley, North Hollywood, West Hollywood, Van Nuys, and Beverly Hills, to assist in providing home care to the aging community.

Deborah Goodrich - Scheduling Coordinator

Deborah Goodrich hails from Hollywood, Florida. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Deborah made her way to Los Angeles to pursue a career in entertainment. In the near decade she’s been here, Deborah formed a production company, wrote a full feature screenplay and worked for a talent management company prior to her time with Right at Home. Her vast experience, combined with a passion for helping others, made her a natural fit to work with Right at Home, where she tirelessly works to properly match the best care aide to each and every client we serve. In addition to her duties with Right at Home, Deborah launched her own wedding planning business specializing in themed events. Her business, Fandom Affairs, is coming up on its second year and has been featured in popular wedding publications nationwide. In her spare time Deborah is a bibliophile and is currently writing her first novel.

Melissa Godino - Recruiting and Retention Coordinator

Melissa Godino brings to the team 3 years of recruiting experience. With her desire and passion to help others, Melissa’s primary goal is to hire qualified, experienced and compassionate caregivers to fit our client’s diverse set of needs. In addition, Melissa also focuses on retaining and rewarding our current care aides at Right at Home. Working with various clientele within the healthcare industry, from behavioral health with youth and adults to elderly care, she strives to find the best candidates throughout Los Angeles county. When she isn’t recruiting, she enjoys watching Dodger baseball and playing softball.

Vanessa Hurtarte - Administrative Coordinator

Vanessa has worked in the in-home care field since 2011. Beginning her career as a Home Care Aide, Vanessa has a first-hand understanding of the needs and concerns of the elderly living at home as well as the issues that both family caregivers and Right at Home care aides often cope with in providing care. Vanessa’s excellence in the field resulted in her promotion to a Scheduler where she effectively placed the right care aides with the right skills to provide the right care to our clients. Currently, Vanessa works in a variety of capacities within the organizations, including scheduling, administration, in-home quality care visits and human resources assistance. Vanessa is currently studying Sociology at California-State University at Northridge and is a native of Los Angeles.
