Home Town Halos Award
We were so pleased to nominate our caregiver, Dawn, for our local Home Town Halos Award! This unique award focuses on caregivers who go above and beyond the call of duty to provide the most compassionate care to the clients that they serve. The Home Town Halo committee reviews nominations from all types of care providers across all health care positions. The committee seeks out those providers who stand out, and who’s contributions to the lives of those they touch truly makes a huge impact on their quality of life. We are so thrilled that Dawn stood out above the rest as May’s Home Town Halos award recipient! Dawn came to Right at Home with no previous professional caregiving experience. Her huge heart and compassionate spirit endear her to all of her clients – once they have Dawn, they only want her! She so freely gives of herself, while quietly providing care for her husband struggling with serious illnesses himself. Dawn is always striving to grow in her knowledge through her inquisitive mind, always seeking more training and understanding of the different diseases that she encounters in the lives of her clients. Right at Home Grand Junction has THE BEST Caregiving Staff around! We “toasted” our team with mini sparkling ciders or mini champagnes with candied strawberries, or a mini Red Wine and chocolates! Through the hard work, dedication and flexibility of our staff, we went over two months without needing to add or replace any staff members (an almost unheard of feat in Homecare)! RAH Team, you are simply THE BEST!

As a career Caregiver of more than 27 years, Sandi lives and embodies the Right at Home mission, “to improve the quality of life of those we serve”, through her attention to the needs of her clients, and the special way that she always puts her clients first. Sandi came to work for Right at Home Grand Junction on Christmas Eve, and we feel that she has been quite the gift to us, as well as to all of her clients, who love and adore her!
Celebrating the Holidays with S'mores and More!
This holiday season Right at Home Grand Junction celebrated our Caregivers in very small groups in the office. We roasted S’mores, had candy cane, made ornaments, and more! Our caregivers are appreciated and celebrated all year long, but the holidays are a great time to highlight the love, compassion, and care they pour out to our clients.
