Lynne Daugherty - Owner

While caring for her aging parents and simultaneously supporting her four children, Greene County resident and business owner Lynn Daugherty developed a special appreciation for quality in-home care, recognizing this major need in the west-central Ohio area. After her parents passed away within one year of each other, Lynn decided she wanted to make a difference by providing personalized care to those who need it, allowing them to stay in the comfort of their own homes as they age.

When Lynn opened Right at Home in 2007, she had 12 employees and two clients. As she celebrates 10 years in business, she currently employs more than 70 staff members who care for 70 people in the Beavercreek, Greene County and Clark County areas, of which more than 14 percent of people are 65 or older.

In 2004, Lynn’s father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Shortly after, her mother fell ill. As a single parent with four children, Lynn did the best she could to support her parents and her kids. During that time, Lynn realized how important it is for people to have dedicated and loving caregivers. After her parents passed away within one year of each other, she decided to get involved with in-home care and opened her Right at Home location in 2007.

In the beginning, Lynn had 12 employees and only two clients. Since she opened, Lynn has continued to grow her business. She currently employs 70 staff members and cares for about 70 people in Beavercreek, Greene County and Clark County. She attributes the company’s success to her friendly and compassionate caregivers who make all of her clients feel loved and important. Hoping to expand in the coming years, Lynn aspires to provide the best care to even more clients.

From the moment she chose to get involved with in-home care, Lynn knew she wanted to work with a company that had an outstanding reputation for providing quality and personalized assistance. While searching for franchise opportunities, she learned about Right at Home and decided to interview to become a franchisee. The friendly, down-to-earth staff made her feel welcome and comfortable, and she knew it was exactly what she was looking for. Although she looked at other companies, none of them gave her that “warm feeling” she had at Right at Home.
