Put simply, our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. Of course, we recognize that everyone’s idea of “quality of life” is different, which is why it’s so important to us to make you an active part of your own care plan. We want you to be in the driver’s seat regardless of any limitations or challenges you’re facing.
Most of all, we believe aging isn’t just about staying healthy, safe and independent. It’s also about living well.
Co-Owner Right at Home
Don is the co-owner of the Right at Home office that has been servicing the community since February 2011. Don and his wife, Peggy, are committed to provide optimum care for all the clients they serve and to walk away feeling they made a difference for the client and family members.
Prior to joining Right at Home, Don worked at Pitney Bowes for 23 years as an Account Manager, Division Sales Director, and Director of Federal Government Portfolio. Born and raised in Baltimore and graduating from Towson State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications in 1984, Don has always been involved with his community.
On a personal note, Don and Peggy were high-school sweethearts and have two (2) sons, Paul and Jack. Don enjoys sports, especially golf and baseball, and enjoys attending concerts and plays.
During his years working as a hospital administrator, our founder Allen Hager watched many patients, especially seniors, leave the hospital and return home. But they did not necessarily return to health. Allen found that, once at home, a lot of his former patients were unable to care for themselves. He knew that with a little help, most of these people could lead healthy, happy lives in their homes. This became the idea for Right at Home.
After talking to dozens of families about the challenges they faced and what kinds of care would help, he became a certified nursing assistant to experience firsthand the needs of people who required professional assistance to continue living at home.
Today, with the help of Allen’s insights, Right at Home has grown to over 600 locations that serve tens of thousands of clients across the U.S. and around the world.
