Right at Home Newsletter for November 2018

From Mickey Mouse to Crazy Clowns, and an appearance from Elvis, (not sure if he was the REAL Elvis or not), we met a lot of interesting characters throughout this last month. One thing is sure, we had a lot of fun. Fall brings out the best in us as we gather inside, start to huddle together for warmth around fireplaces, bring out the sweaters and throws, and find ways to stay warm and cozy inside. What better way to start the season than having fun with our clients, their families, and our community friends!

We are all on a mission together to help make the lives of our seniors brighter and to bring smiles to their faces. It is a communal effort, and we hope to continue making people smile, to have a few laughs, and to create lots of new friends in the process.

CEU Program at Seasons 52

We held our first CEU Program at Season's 52 in Indianapolis this month. Ron Wright with Wright & Associates educated us on new changes in veteran's benefits for aid and attendant care, and ethics. Case managers and social workers from SW Care Management, Community North, CICOA, and many other organizations enjoyed not only learning new information to help their clients, but delicious flatbread pizza and complimentary cocktails on us! That makes everyone happy!

Spending Time with Our Community Friends

Participating in local networking events is an important part of creating relationships in our community. From the Skyline Breakfast at the Top event at the Skyline Club with Mickey Mouse, to Partners in Healthcare events with Willow the Boston Terrier at Willow Lake Place and Halloween Man Cory Hull we connected with lots of community partners that can help us take better care of our clients.

Northridge Halloween Costume Party Parade

At Right at Home Indianapolis North we are excited to work with Northridge Gracious Retirement Living residents. There is always something fun going on there! Halloween brought out the spooky and the kooky. Look at these imaginative costumes! We played our part with our Wanted Dead or Alive photo booth, and we found a lot of "criminals." Having fun keeps you young! Stay tuned for where we will be next and what adventures we will be up to in November!
