Put simply, our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. Of course, we recognize that everyone’s idea of “quality of life” is different, which is why it’s so important to us to make you an active part of your own care plan. We want you to be in the driver’s seat regardless of any limitations or challenges you’re facing.
Most of all, we believe aging isn’t just about staying healthy, safe and independent. It’s also about living well.
Darlene & Dan Williams
Owners, Right at Home Joshua
Right at Home Joshua is locally owned and operated by Darlene and Dan Williams. For five years Darlene operated as the General Manager and Administrator for Right at Home in Joshua, before purchasing the franchise in April 2022. Darlene’s main goal in life has always been to help others. She realized how fulfilled she felt while working for Right at Home as she was able to help families and their loved ones during difficult times.
Seeing the needs of seniors first-hand while working for Right at Home, Darlene and Dan realized a homecare business would allow them the opportunity to continue caring for others in a meaningful way. They realize how difficult and frustrating it is for adult children to be far from their aging parents and understand the importance of having compassionate, reliable caregivers to fill in when family is not able to be there.
Prior to working and purchasing Right at Home Joshua, Darlene worked as management in the financial services industry and Dan continues to work as an inspector for highway construction.
Dan and Darlene have been married over 30 years, have three children, Heather, Daniel, and Conner, and five grandchildren, Hazel, Ares, Theodore, Gemma, and Penelope. Dan and Darlene have a passion for serving Johnson County and the surrounding communities. In their free time, they enjoy making memories and spending quality time with their family. The Williams moved to Red Oak, Texas in 2005 where they raised their three children. They also enjoy travelling and look forward to visiting new destinations in the future.
Our Philanthropy
Globally, an estimated 70 million people with disabilities have no access to a wheelchair. Those who cannot walk must crawl or be carried to their destination. In collaboration with a network of like-minded partners, Free Wheelchair Mission has distributed more than 1 million wheelchairs to people with disabilities in 93 developing countries around the world, providing renewed dignity, independence and hope through the gift of mobility, at no cost to the recipient.
As an organization, Right at Home's work with Free Wheelchair Mission began in 2016 as the company looked for a partner that would help us further our mission of improving lives worldwide. To date, the Right at Home team's efforts have raised more than $400,000 that has funded over 5,000 wheelchairs, which were distributed through life-changing Vision Trips to Vietnam, Ecuador and Costa Rica.
