Recognizing Right at Home Caregivers During National Nursing Assistants' Week

National Nursing Assistants' Week is observed on Thursday, June 18th, 2020. It has been observed for 7 days starting Thursday of the second full week in June since 1977.

Nursing assistants, sometimes called nursing aides, provide basic care and help patients with activities of daily living. In the home care setting nursing assistants provide safety and help their clients with personal and household tasks they cannot do for themselves. Some of those tasks could include bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to eating, meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping. Nursing Assistants play an essential role in patient-care. Aides truly make a difference in the lives of patients and families by supporting them not only physically but also emotionally. Thank you to our aides for being our eyes and ears of the clinical staff. To all of the aides who go above and beyond for all of our clients, you are appreciated!

“We are blessed to have such a caring and loving team of caregivers who always put the client first.” – Josephina Pruitt Nurse Coordinator
