Our mission is to improve the quality of life for the seniors and adults with disabilities we serve. At Right at Home Lawrence it's always about the people we serve and our dedicated team of caregivers and office members who work tirelessly to care for clients. We live and breathe our mission every day, with the goal of helping you navigate the journey. These are the people who work to bring you and your loved ones the highest caliber of in‑home care.
I am a Registered Nurse in Kansas and Missouri, have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Health Care Management, and a Masters Degree in Professional Studies in Health Care Management and Humanistic Studies. When not working with my team at Right at Home, I enjoy traveling, sewing, reading, and most of all, my three great-grandchildren. I have 46 years’ experience as a nurse ranging from corrections, to hospitals, and home health settings. I love Right at Home because of the caring and considerate coworkers, and the compassionate policies we have for client care.
I'm a Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Kansas. When not focused on caring for clients and supporting my team at Right at Home, I enjoy traveling, being with friends and family, yoga, and being outside. Prior to a homecare career, I spent 22 years in NICU at St. Luke’s Hospital, and one year at Lab Corp. I find life exciting because there are always new experiences, new challenges, and great people to meet. I've happily lived here in Overland Park all my life.
Director of Quality Care
I studied business and fashion merchandising before starting in the home care industry in Denver where I worked 10 years. We then moved to Albuquerque, NM where I worked for Lincare and did DME sales. After moving to Kansas I worked for a nursing agency and did staffing after hours for 6 plus years. I then accepted a Director of Operations position for an agency where I was able to utilize my skills before coming to RAH. I love working for RAH for so many reasons which include the team culture, client care and our amazing caregivers. My husband and I have been married since 1999 and have 3 kids Noah, Tristan and Elizabeth along with our golden-doodle Max. I love spending time with my forever friends and taking family vacations. I speak Spanish which seems to help when vacationing in Mexico with my friends. I pride myself on loyalty, honesty and integrity.
I have worked in a health care environment for most of my career, holding several positions including physician recruiter, nurse recruiter, and various administrative positions. I love my job at Right at Home because every day is a new adventure, and I really feel like we are making a difference in the lives of our clients and their families. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family. My greatest blessing is being a MOM to my wonderful boys, Wes, 25 and Zach, 21. My favorite activities include boating, traveling, working out, cooking, reading, and game nights with friends. I have a sweet little 5-pound dog named Bella. I am originally from Kentucky, and graduated from Murray State University where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. I moved to Florida after graduating college, and lived there for 10 years before moving to Kansas, where I met my husband Bryan. We have been happily married for 26 years.
I am an LPN licensed in multiple states with 48 years’ experience in outpatient setting corrections, home health, hospice and regulatory compliance. When not working with the Right at Home team, I enjoy walking, reading, and spending time with family and friends, especially my 2 granddaughters. I have a passion for the patient care experience.
I came to work at RAH after being in the Behavioral Health Field for 10 years and prior to that was in retail as a District Manager for 20 years. I moved here from Bend, Oregon in 2021 to be near my son and his family. I have two grandchildren, two years old and four years old, and they have me wrapped around their little fingers! I am also fortunate to have an Australian Shepherd and one cat that lives with me. I enjoy my job as the Staffing Coordinator at RAH because of the connection I have with the clients, their families, and the caregivers, as well as making sure they have the care and support they need. Schedules are constantly changing and my position here is never boring!
