Rodney Brooks Recognized for Outstanding Work as a Professional Caregiver

[Little Rock, AR] —Right at Home Metro Little Rock awarded Rodney Brooks with its most prestigious honor at a recent awards ceremony held in Little Rock.

The Spirit of Service Award is given to a deserving caregiver who provides the highest quality of care to clients, improving their quality of life and doing so with honesty and integrity.

Brooks previously worked as a machinist before a back injury forced him to retire from that field of work. For eight years he wasn’t able to work but was “blessed to find Right at Home” which enabled him help people who are in the same condition Brooks had been in for years. “It's an honor to be able to serve our clients,” said Brooks. “I come from a position of empathy because of my medical past.”

In his spare time, Books enjoys spending time with his family. He volunteers at his church and enjoys watching the Minnesota Vikings and Arkansas Razorbacks football./p> "Rodney exemplifies every quality you would look for in a caregiver," said Lauren Miller, owner of Right at Home Metro Little Rock. "He’s simply an amazing human. Countless stories were told about what peace and joy he had offered past clients, current clients and their families."

The Spirit of Service Award was created to honor Miller’s late mother, Sue Davis. Known for her infectious laugh, strong faith and servant’s heart, Davis serves as an inspiration to Right at Home Metro Little Rock caregivers.
