Jamie Barker, Scheduler
Jamie has been employed at Right at Home of Southern Indiana and Kentucky since November 2019 and has over 15 years of caregiving experience. She worked for Eastern Star Nursing Home as a Nursing Assistant, in Louisville, Kentucky for about 9 years. Shortly after, she moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL where she spent five years providing personal care for Dementia/Alzheimer's, quadriplegic, and ALS patients. Jamie's dad had a mini stroke which prompted her to move back to her hometown, Louisville, Kentucky, so she could be closer to help with her parents. She was an Assistant Director for a year at a childcare facility owned by her sister, however, Jamie knew her heart was in the healthcare field. Jamie applied for Right at Home and started caregiving again and it's been great ever since. Jamie cannot wait to experience growth at Right at Home and she looks forward to making a difference in the community. She loves helping people, no matter if it's problem solving or day-to-day daily tasks. The feeling of knowing she's making a difference in a world that can sometimes be so cruel, just brings a little hope to her in that she's making this world a better place for generations to come.
