What Sets Us Apart
We adhere to all applicable federal and state guidelines related to privacy of personal and healthcare information. This starts once we have a formal services agreement, before a caregiver even comes to your family member's home. The written service agreement stipulates the exact restrictions on the use of your information, which clarifies that even unauthorized individuals will not be given access to information without a client's – or legally authorized representative's – formal consent.
Give us a call. We'll arrange a time to visit you, your family and/or any authorized representative to fully discuss your particular home care situation and how Right at Home might help. To see how we might be able to help your family specifically, take our Care Assessment. To see how we help families, read our Care Profiles or read our in-home care customer testimonials.
Everything we do stems from our misssion: "To improve the quality of life for those we serve." To us, our mission is more than words - it is a goal we strive to achieve each day. It is the way we deliver world-class care to our clients. Our mission guides how we run our business and how we treat our caregivers. Our mission is ambitious, and it takes a team filled with the RightPeople to live out that mission each and every day.
As the health care cost continue to escalate, preventing hospitalizations continues to be top of mind. Right at Home of Lower Manhattan is helping to lead this issue by working with Harvard Medical School and software provider ClearCare to participate in an exclusive study aimed at determining interventions to help improve senior's health and reduce costs for all parties. Visit our Home Care Research section for more information.
Community Education - CEU Workshops
Right at Home Lower Manhattan offers Continued Education Unit (CEU) workshops on hoarding disorder in conjunction with Project ORE, a geriatric and hoarding initiative through New York City’s Educational Alliance.
The workshop provides information on:
- The common signs and behaviors of hoarding
- Strategies to minimize the hoarding behavior and reducing clutter volume, as well as
- How family, friends, and healthcare professionals should communicate with older adults to keep their homes de-cluttered and safe.
About the Presenter
The workshop is developed and presented by Jack Sherratt, Director of Project ORE. Sherratt is a clinical social worker. He and his team train elderly persons with hoarding conditions to change their thought processes and habitual stashing. Sherratt’s team has a 100% success rate on preventing evictions and recidivism.
Right at Home of Lower Manhattan has completed LGBT Cultural Competency Training of SageCare in 2017. 15 of our caregivers have received the training. We are a bronze level certified partner of SageCare.
