Husband and wife team Joe and Jessica Price bring their personal passion and commitment to providing dependable, professional in-home care and assistance to their neighbors in Marin County through Right at Home.
When Joe’s mother slipped into the vicious grasp of Alzheimer’s disease in 2010, Joe and Jessica, cared for her until she passed in late 2012. This experience, although emotionally and physically draining, showed that life’s priorities can change in an instant when a loved one can no longer care for themselves. Joe and Jessica, to better prepare themselves to provide the most compassionate and thorough care possible, attended classes on Alzheimer’s care giving. These classes proved vital to developed care plans and coping methods for Joe’s mother and themselves.
Through their personal experience in caring for Joe’s mother as well as their experience at Right at Home, Jessica and Joe understand the looming need for in-home care and the preference of the majority of people to remain living independently at home. The mission of Right at Home Marin is to provide the care and support that will help seniors and disabled adults live in their own home for as long as possible.
Both Marin natives, Jessica and Joe are active members of their local community and enjoy the many beautiful adventures and diverse activities Marin County has to offer. They understand the importance of balancing a professional zest and a strong family unit at home. They are especially proud of their sons, Noah and Adam. Joe and Jessica love the time with their boys and the hobbies Noah and Adam enjoy as young adults in the making. Jessica and Joe have started both sons on the path to being confident golfers, fisherman, handyman, and generally great human beings. Joe and Jessica completely understand their role as a providers and a mentors to their children.
Joe and Jessica are grateful for the lasting bond they have fostered through the 20+ years they have been together. They understand that the 14 years they have been married have provided ups and downs, but they wouldn’t trade the journey with anyone else on earth. Jessica and Joe are better leaders and parents because of their unwavering support they show to each other through the years’ spent together.
Jessica is passionate about her mission at Right at Home and about serving her community. She is a member of the Health & Wellness Resource Group of the San Rafael Chamber, member of the Marin Home Care Association (MHCA), as well as the Marin County Section on Aging (MCSOA). Diana Ferguson, RN, Nurse Consultant
Nurse Consultant Diana Ferguson, RN, helps maintain quality of care through in-home supervisory visits and providing hands-on monitoring and training of caregivers in the field. Diana comes to us from the American Red Cross in San Rafael, where she spent five years as the instructor for their Certified Nurse Assistant training program, in both classroom and in clinical settings, where CNA students were able to put best standards into practice. Prior to her work at the Red Cross, Diana was a charge nurse at the Yuba City Care Center, with duties that included patient assessment, passing medications, wound care, and communication with physicians and family members.
Diana became deeply drawn to geriatric care while caring for her mother, who had dementia for the last 10 years of her life. Her father also fell and became disabled during that time. Diana understands well the challenges that families face when caring for loved ones and has tremendous compassion for seniors who encounter physical limitations and progressive conditions and illnesses as they age. We are grateful for the depth of experience and compassion that Diana brings to her role at Right at Home.
Diana is a Registered Nurse with the State of California and holds a Bachelor of Art in Humanities from New College of California, as well as an Associate of Science in Nursing from the College of Marin.
